Author : Bishop Julius Okarike
Verse Of The Day : If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2 :21
LISTEN : My dear, do you know you can be a vessel of honour to God? A vessel in this context is a person as a container of good qualities or feelings. To be a vessel of honour to God is to be a carrier of His nature, purpose, mission and good works in the world. Beloved, we are created to be vessels of honour in the hands of God. However, to fulfill this purpose, three things must happen : (1). You must understand who you are. The Bible says, “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?“ (1 Corinthians 3:16). Beloved, you are God’s mobile house. That is who you are. You are created to carry the presence and glory of God wherever you go. (2). You must acknowledge that you belong to God. The Bible says, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). My dear, you are not your owner; God owns you. (3). You must avoid the abuse of your body. Your body should be used for the purpose it was designed for. God does not take it lightly when we abuse or defile our bodies with sin. The Bible says, “If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple all of you are.“ (1 Corinthians 3:17). We abuse our body when we use it contrary to God’s word and will, or do things that could damage our body. Those who commit fornication, or indulge in all manner of unhealthy lifestyles like, prostitution, drunkenness, smoking, homosexuality, lesbianism, etc., are defiling their bodies. (see 1 Corinthians 6:18; Romans 1:27-29; Gal 5:21). But no matter the sin, God is waiting for you to return to Him and be saved. Friend, no matter the evil in the world, you can choose to live for God. You can be a vessel of honour to Him. Therefore, purge yourself of sin and unbelief and offer yourself to Him today. Be wise!

TOPIC : GOD’S WORD GUIDES THE WISE
Monday, January 14, 2019
Bible Verse : Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalms 119:105
LISTEN : God’s word guides the wise. It leads him to where God wants him to go, and shows him what He wants him to do. The word of God is the carrier of His voice, and His voice expresses His will. Those who hear and obey the words of God can never miss their way. God’s word is the light that shines in our paths. It is the light with which we can see the right path in this wicked world. Without the light of His words we are limited. Truly, speed is limited when sight is impaired. Without sight, one will stumble and grope for directions. (Mathew 6:23). Beloved, what good sight is to you, God’s word is to your life. God’s word guides people through the right path. It is the key to a righteous and holy living. Those who keep step with the word of God cannot stray from God’s purpose. They are protected from dangers and traps of the devil. Their thoughts are weighed and refined by the word of God; as a result, their actions are in line with His will. They are not limited by forces of darkness because they receive light (insight, direction, revelation, knowledge understanding and wisdom) from the word of God. (Psalms 119:99,100). With God’s word in your heart, you are sure to follow His eternal purpose for your life. Beloved, follow the voice of God. God’s voice is hidden in His words. When you follow His voice you will discover His will and experience real life. Be wise!
1. Thank God for protection and daily provisions.
2. Ask for His forgiveness, cleansing and restoration of your life.
3. Pray for grace to hunger and thirst after God and His words.
4. Pray against every mountain of your life, and cast them into the sea.
A WORD OF BLESSING
