Verse Of The Day : The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1
LISTEN : To be afraid is to be filled with fear or apprehension. When you walk in the light (God) fear will disappear. Light drives away darkness and so does faith drives away fear. Beloved, your walk with God will cast away your fear. David said, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?“ (Psalms 27:1). Faith in God gives courage and confidence. When God is with you, no matter what is against you, you will not be afraid because you know the battle has been won before it even started. You cannot be intimidated or crushed by wickedness of men when you are with God. No doubt, in a wicked and sin-ridden society people are forced to live in fear. Life seems so scary because there are threats to human life. People are deeply afraid not knowing what will happen the next minute. And many find it difficult to sleep in their own homes because of fear of being killed. Besides, sicknesses, diseases, accidents, flood, fire and countless natural disasters confront humanity on a daily basis. Yet, he who fears the LORD cannot live in fear of men. When you are buried inside Jesus Christ no power can turn you into a prey. When you anchor your hope in God your faith will swallow your fears. David said, “When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.Though an host should camp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.” (Psalms 27:2-3). My dear, put your trust in God and stop being afraid. When you fear God you will have no need to be afraid of man. Be wise!

TOPIC : ULTIMATE DESIRE
Saturday, January 26, 2019
Bible Verse : One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to see the LORD’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4
LISTEN : Ultimate means greatest or most extreme. Your ultimate desire talks about your greatest or most extreme desire. Beloved, what is your greatest desire? Is it to gain everything at the expense of God? Make God your ultimate desire. To seek after God is the greatest pursuit of the wise. Real wisdom is to know God. This we ought to make our top priority. Whatever you have in life, minus God, equal to nothing. Yes! When you neglect God in your life, you have rejected your own source ; and he who rejects his source will forfeit his inheritance (blessing). This is a mystery that can only be understood by divine wisdom. When you pursue the so-called good things of life at the expense of God, you will lose all at your own expense. You gained nothing when you reject and ignore God. My dear, there is no top priority than the desire to please God. Every other thing should queue behind it. You are sure to succeed when God is your top priority. (Matthew 6:33). Like David, the desire to please God should be paramount in our lives. David said, “One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to see the LORD’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.” (Psalms 27:4). Beloved, learn to seek after God and allow the desire to please Him become your ultimate desire. Be wise!
1. Bless the name of the LORD for His goodness and mercy toward you.
2. Ask the LORD for forgiveness and mercy for your sin.
3. Ask God to enable you follow His will and make you what he wants you to be.
4. Pray and cancel every evil plan against you.
A WORD OF BLESSING
You will make a difference. May the Lord bless you and guide you to make the right decision for your life, in Jesus’ name, amen.
