Verse Of The Day : Hatred stirs up strife: but love covers multitude of sin. Proverbs 10:12

LISTEN : A man was asked why he does not forgive others. He replied, “I do not believe in forgiveness.” Few days later he offended a man and the matter was reported to the police who in turn arrested and arraigned him before a court. When he realised the gravity of the charges against him, and the likely jail terms, he pleaded with the man for out of court settlement. But the man replied, “Why should I forgive you when you do not believe in forgiveness? I do not believe in forgiveness too.” Beloved, hatred promotes unforgiveness, quarrel, violence, strife, terrorism, killing, oppression and the likes. Therefore, if we can let go of grudges and offences of the past, we all can have a better future together. No doubt, we cannot fix the past, but we can fix the future today by doing the right thing. When you say ‘NO’ to evil today, avoidable crises and evil of the past will not repeat themselves. My dear, today is vital to what happens tomorrow. Therefore, if you are careful today, tomorrow will not be marred by mistakes of the past.

Beloved, everyone wishes to be part of the future. But what kind of future do we want to create? A future that is dominated by violence?killing? Oppression? Terrorism? Assassination and all manner of crime against God and humanity? God forbid! I believe you want a future full of love, kindness, goodness, peace, forgiveness and the likes. But we cannot achieve this dream of a better future if we are not ready to forgive one another. Surely, where unforgiveness reigns, crisis and all manner of wickedness will reign. For he who finds it hard to forgive another will find it easy to destroy another. Friend, you can fix the future by forgiving someone today. Forgiveness will not change the past though, but it does help fix the future. So, let us fix the future today by letting go of past injuries. Be wise!

TOPIC : COMMIT YOUR PLANS TO GOD

Thursday, February 28, 2019

Bible Verse : Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be established. Psalms 16:3

LISTEN : God is the highest authority. And the highest authority should be honoured and revered. God is the final voice. And what He gives His approval to cannot fail. Therefore, in order to truly succeed in our plans, no matter how good our plans are, they should pass through God’s scrutiny and approval. When God tests our plans and approve of them, they are sure to succeed no matter the obstacles. My dear, never be too sure of your plans that you neglect to commit them to God. Besides, you should learn to rely on God as you proceed with your works. Trust Him with every step you take to accomplish your purpose. David said, “Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be established.” (Psalms 16:3). Sadly, because of ignorance of people to acknowledge and honour God, they fail even with their good plans. My dear, henceforth determine to commit your works to God and your plans will be established. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father! Today I commit my plans to you. Help me to always rely on you all the days of my life, amen!
