Verse Of The Day : … and whoso breaks an hedge, a serpent shall bite him. Ecclesiastics 10:8
LISTEN : No matter how hungry or angry a lion might be, it can never devour a sheep that is in a stronghold. It can only move round and round trying to grab the sheep but can never touch it, because of the protection that is built around it. I was standing outside in my house on a particular day, and I watched a hen (fowl) struggling with a standing transparent bottle full of groundnuts. The hen moved round and round pecking the bottle repeatedly in desperation and frustration, but could not access it. Rather than eat the groundnuts, the groundnuts became the hen’s frustration. And I asked myself, “What if these grains of groundnut were spread on the ground? Would the hen not have eaten them up?” Certainly yes! With that experience I learned the importance of divine protection. Beloved, this is how you are protected when you hide yourself in God. (John 10:28-30; Psalms 125:2). Anything hidden in God is hidden out of the reach of the enemy; for who God protects the devil cannot devour. The devil cannot succeed with you except you break the hedge (God’s protection) around your life. A hedge is something that provides protection or defence. My dear, when you decide to walk in disobedience to God you have chosen to expose yourself to the devil. The Bible says, “… and whoso breaks an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.” (Ecclesiastics 10:8). So, walk in the fear of God and you will abide under His shadow; walk in disobedience to Him and you will be bitten by the serpent. Be wise!

Bible Verse : For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
LISTEN: When the Spirit of God testifies of what Paul was going to suffer in Jerusalem for the sake of the gospel, Paul said, “But none of these things move me, neither do I consider my life worth anything to myself, so that I can finish my task and the ministry that I received from Jesus Christ…” (Acts 20:24). He was not moved by circumstances, but rather energised by his faith in Christ. He lived by faith and not by sight. Beloved, Faith brings God’s hands upon your life. It keeps you focused on God and not on your problems: it guarantees victory in every battle of life. My dear, you are not alone when you face troubles. God is with you. He will revive and refresh you with abundant life when the battle is over. My dear, be strong and learn to live by faith, and not by sight. To live by faith is to anchor your hope in God. It is to believe God for the impossible (Luke 1: 37). Besides, it means to believe that whatever you are going through will soon be over. Henceforth, do not be distracted by what you see around you, instead, trust in the LORD and you will certainly receive divine intervention. So, always determine never to be moved by circumstances, but rather motivated by faith. Be wise!
1. Bless God for your life and the lives of others.
2. Confess your sin and ask God for forgiveness.
3. Pray for grace to live by faith and not by sight.
4. Intercede for believers in Christ around the world for grace to live by faith.
5. Pray against all sorts of wickedness tonight, and ask God to keep you safe.
A WORD OF BLESSING
You will make a difference, may God keep you strong and courageous. May the Lord help you to walk by faith and not by sight, in Jesus’ name, amen
