Verse Of The Day : The LORD said to me, “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:4-5

LISTEN : Everyone is born for a purpose. Nothing exists without a purpose. Purpose explains the reason why something or someone exists. My dear, imagine someone walking up to you and extended a very fat envelope to you, will you not ask for what purpose the envelope is given to you? Will you watch the person walk away and you say nothing? Of course you will ask questions about the purpose of the package. In the same way, you should determine to discover your purpose of existence. In our verse of the day, we understand that Jeremiah’s God – given purpose is to serve as the mouthpiece of God unto the nations. He served that very purpose because he discovered his purpose. Beloved, life will be meaningless if purpose is not known. Purpose directs action, and positive action brings success. As a matter of fact, to ignore to discover and pursue your purpose of existence is to elect to end a failure. God has given us the opportunity to excel in life. However, this cannot be realised until you discovered and pursue your purpose in life. To fully achieve your purpose of existence, you must give consideration to the following : 1. Know that nothing exists without a purpose. (see Eccles 3:1; 8:6). The meaning of everything is in their purposes. 2. Know that the meaning of life cannot be realised until purpose is known (Jeremiah 1:5-7). Life can be abused if purpose is not known. 3. Know that you do not have all the time in the world. (Job 14:1). My dear, time is scarce and life is too short to be wasted. So, be judicious with your time and be careful with your life. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Discover your purpose and pursue it without delay because life is too short.
2. Give your life a direction and stop moving with the crowd and begin to move towards your purpose.
3. Always pray to God, meditate in His words and follow the leading of His Spirit.
4. Avoid all distractions and pursue your God-given purpose with undivided attention.

Prayer : Blessed Father, I appreciate you for your words today. Help me to pursue your ordained purpose for my life, in Jesus name, amen.

Reflection : Nothing exists without a purpose. Hence, to ignore to discover and pursue one’s purpose of existence is to elect to end a failure.

Quote : “Time is scarce and life is too short to be wasted; hence, the wise are judicious with their time and careful with their lives.”

Faith Confession : Today, I confess that God created everyone for a purpose. Therefore, I will discover and pursue my God-given purpose, amen!

Biblical Fact: Did you know the shortest chapter in the Bible is Psalms 117? (Psalms 117).

TOPIC: CONTROL YOUR ANGER

Bible Verse : Do not say, “I will pay back evil!” Wait for the LORD, so that he may vindicate you. Proverbs 20:22

LISTEN : You cannot achieve anything good with anger. In anger one can cause more harm than what caused the anger. People tend to seek revenge when they are angry. But as people of God we should leave vengeance with God. Friend, do you want to take revenge on your offenders? Do you want “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth”? Everyone wants to take revenge against his or her offender(s). No one wants to forgive. Everyone wants to take his or her own “pound of flesh.” What a world! No peace, no forgiveness, no love, but violence, killing, destruction and all manner of evil. We want to revenge every evil no matter what. Beloved, why seek private revenge instead of seeking God’s vindication? The bible says, ”Do not say, “I will pay back evil!” That is , do not do an injury to one that has done one to you. The Bible commands that private revenge is not to be taken, but should be left to God, to whom vengeance belongs. You should learn to wait on the Lord, and He shall save you; commit yourself and cause to God; leave it with Him to avenge your wrongs, and wait for His own time to do you justice. He will at the proper season, and in His own way, save you from your enemies, and make a righteous retribution to them (your enemies). The word of God declares, “Be sure of this: the wicked will not go unpunished, but the descendants of the righteous will go free” (Proverbs 11:21). Beloved, do not waste your time seeking revenge, instead, seek the will and help of God. Be wise!

PRAYER POINTS
1. Pray and bless God for provision and protection.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and mercy.
3. Ask God to heal your broken heart and remove the thoughts of vengeance.
4. Pray and destroy all satanic plans against you, and the body of Christ around the world.
5. Pray for peace of mind and faith to trust God at all times.

A WORD OF BLESSING
May the Lord heal your wounded and bleeding heart, may He quench the desire for revenge in your heart, amen.
