Verse Of The Day : Open my eyes so I can truly see the marvelous things in your law! Psalms 119:18
LISTEN : Imagine yourself being blindfolded and led away by unknown persons to an unknown place; would it be possible for you to identify where you are? Will you see things clearly? And if you are abandoned there, will it be easy for you to find your way back home without help? Of course not! In the same way, you cannot discover mysteries from the word of God unless your eyes are opened. However, for your eyes to be opened, you must desire it. David prayed, “Open my eyes so I can truly see the marvelous things in your law!” (Psalms 119:18). This simply means that we all need divine help to see things from God’s perspectives. Beloved, without divine help you cannot understand the language of God. You cannot understand the word of God unless your eyes are opened spiritually. Spiritual blindness is responsible for rejecting the words of God. (Acts 26:18). Truly, if you are blind, it will be difficult to know the right way to go. My dear, there are beautiful things for you in the word of God; but until your eyes are opened you cannot discover them. (Ephesians 1:17-18). When your eyes are opened, the coverings of ignorance will disappear. Friend, you cannot grope to find your way when you walk in the light of God. Like the joy of a blind person who suddenly regains his sight, you will experience unspeakable joy when your eyes are opened to hidden truths and blessings in the word of God. Beloved, ask God to open your eyes today, and you will discover hidden truths in His word, and you will be glad you did . Be wise!

ARE YOU TRULY GREAT?

Bible Verse :… but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. Mark 10:43-44
LISTEN : People tend to boast of their achievements because they believe that they are greater than others. Unfortunately, what the world regards as greatness is nothing before God. No matter one’s wealth, power, fame or position, no one is truly great until he or she is great in doing the will of God. One way to be great is to serve. Genuine service is “a ladder” to true greatness. And not to serve is not to excel. To serve means to minister to others, attending to and waiting upon others, caring for, and serving the needs of others. Sadly, only a few people are humble enough to serve others. A lot of people believe that serving others will downgrade their status and reputation. They fail to understand that serving others will increase their worth in the society. Beloved, are you truly serving others? Are you putting the best interests and needs of others before yours? Do you esteem others highly than yourself? (Philippians 2:3-4; Romans 12:10). In His message to His disciples, Jesus Christ our role model of how to serve others urged them (His disciples) to dedicate themselves to serving others if they must achieve true greatness. In the same way, we should serve others no matter what. We should stop being selfish and start to be selfless and sacrificial. That is the lifestyle of Christ Jesus and we should live like Him. (Mark 10:45). So, learn to serve others in your family, church, society, nation and the world at large as you have the opportunity. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you because you are great in good works. Therefore, help me to be great in my service to you and humanity, in Jesus’ name, amen!
