Verse Of The Day : This is what comforts me in my trouble, for your promise revives me. Psalms 119:50
LISTEN : A christian widow in her late nineties was asked how she was able to live that long, even after experiencing a tragedy that took the life of almost all her family members in the past. She replied, “I found comfort in the word of God. His promises revives me. I learned to accept what I cannot fix, by leaving it in the hands of a loving and faithful God. That is my secret!” Beloved, this is what you should do (seek solace in God). (1 Samuel 30:6) When the heart is broken people look for comfort. They look for the right words to soothe their pain. When the heart is broken life is threatened. And until a broken heart is mended, nothing makes sense to the brokenhearted. People’s hearts are broken on a daily basis by different people and circumstances. Because of fear of heartbreak people tend to stay away from relationships, marriage, etc. Unfortunately, keeping your distance does not keep you from heartbreak. As a matter of fact, everyone of us lives with a potential for heartbreak. Life is full of uncertainties and ugly experiences. Therefore, at some point in our lives things must go out of our control. Thankfully, there is a solution to our heartbreak. The solution is in the word of God. My dear, the comfort and encouragement you need for your heartbreak is the word of God. David said, “This is what comforts me in my trouble, for your promise revives me.” (Psalms 119:50). The word of God brings comfort in times of troubles. His word heals all manner of wounds. Surely, he who goes to the word of God in time of trouble will find solace and healing. Be wise!

Bible Verse : So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalms 90:12
LISTEN : The so-called pleasures of this world has made a lot of people so insensitive to the pitiable state of humanity. No one thinks about the brevity of life. Instead, they act as though life will go on forever. My dear, anytime you check your wrist watch or the clock, what goes on in your mind? No doubt, you do that to regulate or schedule your time. You do not want to be late to your appointments or do anything behind the right time. In the same way, we should be conscious of the time of our lives. (Ephesians 5:16). Let us not be carried away by the good things of life, but strive to direct our efforts and work to secure a future (eternity) for ourselves. Beloved, time is ticking away and people seem not to be concerned about it. Life demands wisdom, and life without wisdom is worthless. One aspect of wisdom in life is to consider time. Life is time, and time is the regulator of life. Hence, to undermine time is to undermine life. Truly, the beauty of life is to make the most of your time, talents and treasures. David said, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalms 90:12). Beloved, life flies with time. So, watch your time and do the needful. Remember, a little delay, a little carelessness and a little waste of time, life will be wasted eventually. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you for a brand new day. Help me to never take today for granted; but rather act wisely before it is too late, amen!
