Verse Of The Day : How sweet are Your words to my taste! More than honey to my mouth! Psalms 119:103
LISTEN : If you are to choose between bitter things and sweet things, I am sure you will not choose bitter things over sweet things. We take bitter things out of necessity, but the urge to take sweet things comes naturally to us. Even in sickness, no one finds it funny when taking bitter pills. This is why parents struggle with their sick children trying to force bitter pills or syrups down their throats. But not so with sweet ones. Most often, because of our experiences with bitter things, we tend to reject sweet things thinking they are the same. A child who has tasted bitter syrup will reject sweet one at sight unless he or she is convinced or forced to take it. But the moment he or she discovers that it is a sweet syrup after all, smile and a desire for more will follow. My dear, same thing will happen when you taste the word of God. People reject the word of God because they fail to taste it.
David says, “How sweet are Your words to my taste! More than honey to my mouth!” (Psalms 119:103). Friend, you cannot experience the benefits of what you refuse to try. The word of God is sweet. It gladdens the soul and brings relief to aching hearts. It is the balm that soothes our pain. It renews hope, courage and confidence where darkness and hopelessness rules. (Psalms 119:147, 165). The word of God is sweeter than honey because its effect leaves a mark of glory in the lives of those who value it. My dear, you cannot encounter the word of God and remain the same. God’s word has the capacity to change you to a person after God’s heart. Taste the word of God and you will discover how powerful, glorious, wonderful and life-changing the word can be. So, stop rejecting the word of God and begins to hear, read, study and meditate on it. I assure you, you will be glad you did. Be wise!

Bible Verse : And today the LORD has declared you to be his special people as he already promised you so you may keep all his commandments. Deuteronomy 26:18
LISTEN : Beloved, you are precious to God. God loves you because you are a member of His family. You are a partaker of His covenant with Abraham. The Israelites became a special people to God by way of God’s covenant with Abraham. (Galatians 3:7). In the same way, we believers in Christ Jesus have been made a special people through the covenant blood of Jesus Christ. My dear, you are special to God! You are of great value to Him. Never allow anyone or anything to make you feel less of yourself. No matter the circumstance, believe that you are what God says you are. Satan wants you to believe the opposite of God’s good plans for your life. He wants you to doubt God’s promises and ability to provide for you. He wants you to believe that you are rejected and forsaken. (Psalms 27:10). He wants you to believe that all hope is lost, therefore, your life is worthless. (Psalms 27:14 ; Psalms 130:5). He wants you to believe that your condition has no solution. He wants you to be depressed and die worrying. My dear, be strong and courageous and declare to yourself that you are special. The devil knows it, that is why he wants to deceive you. Therefore, you must resist him. My dear, because you are special to God, God will give you a special treat. Jesus Christ has made you special, and the devil cannot destroy you. (1 John 4:4). So, walk in the light of this revelation and your life will not remain the same. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, your word is true, and your promises are sure. Help me to truly rely on your words at all times, in Jesus‘ name, amen.
