Verse Of The Day : Woe to you… For you are like whitewashed tombs, which indeed appear beautiful outside, but inside they are full of dead men’ bones, and of all uncleanness. Matthew 23:27
LISTEN : A Pastor told a story about his wife who washed her utensils and some containers she uses for storing spices and other items in their home. She washed them so clean and stood at a distance to admire them. Amazingly she heard a voice that called her, “Woman, you have done so well! If you had cleansed your life just the way you washed these items, your life would have been better off.” She looked around to see who was talking to her, because she was alone at home, but she saw no one. As she gazed at the items again in admiration, the voice called her the second time, “Woman, you have done so well! If you had cleansed your life just the way you washed these items, your life would have been better off.” She turned to see who was talking to her but she saw no one. Then she realised God was talking to her. Beloved, like the woman in this story, God is talking to you about your life. He wants you to be clean both outside and inside. People work hard to appear good outside, but puts no effort to appear good inside. They make up themselves to be beautiful outside, but shows no interest in building their inner self. Beloved, we are nothing outside if we are rotten inside. A dead heart has no value to a good looking body. This is what it looks like when sin and deceit dorminate our life and we pretend to be righteous outward. (Matthew 23:27-28). Jesus Christ prophesied woe to the scribes and the Pharisees for their hypocrisy. They seem beautiful outside, but disgusting inside. My dear, as a genuine child of God you should work very hard to make your life pleasing to God. Henceforth, let your private and public life reflect purity and the fear of God. Be wise!

TOPIC : HOPE IN GOD AND WAIT FOR HIM
Tuesday, February 26, 2019
Bible Verse : It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:26
LISTEN : In everything always do your own part and hope in God and wait patiently for Him. My dear, are you troubled, confused and frustrated? Have you prayed and God seems to be silent on you? I have a good news for you. God will surely answer you. He knows your needs and how you feel (Matthew 6:8,31-32). Surely, He will visit you at the right time. God cannot be late if He wants to deliver anyone from trouble. He comes at the right time and not just in our own time (Isaiah 55:8). And those who must receive from Him must learn to wait for Him in faith (Psalms 27:14). People tend to give up hope because they believe they have come to the end of the road in their lives. They believe it is all over, and therefore accept their misfortunes as their own fate. A lot of people think and end this way in times of troubles because they are not established in faith. Anything can shake them to their nerves because they are bankrupt of the word of God. Beloved, no matter what, you should learn to hope in God. The Bible says,“It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” (Lamentations 3:26). My dear, hope does not disappoint. Hence, keeping your hope alive is the key to your desired future. But when your hope dies, you have “murdered your future” with your own hands. So, be strong and wait for God’s salvation and keep your hope alive no matter what. Be wise!
Prayer : Oh Lord, I thank you because you are God. Help me to hope in you and wait patiently for your mercy in Jesus’ name, amen.
