Verse Of The Day : He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city. Proverbs 16:32

LISTEN : An athlete was competing in a 100 meter race. And immediately the race started, he was ahead of all other athletes because he was a fast runner. But rather than cheered him, the crowd booed him. Worst of all, he heard someone from the crowd shouting, “fool, fool, fool!” Out of anger he stopped and went towards that direction and asked, “who called me a fool?” A boy replied, “I did.” Forthwith, he engaged him in a fight. But before he could finish fighting, the race was over. He was so ashamed of himself. He lost the prize because he first lost control of himself. My dear, you can’t truly conquer anything if you can’t conquer yourself. To be in control of anything, you must be in control of yourself. You’ll lose control of everything if you’ve lost control of yourself. One way to conquer yourself is to be in charge of your emotions. You must guard against uncontrolled anger. Don’t be driven by what people say or do, but by what is right and the goal you’re pursuing. Learning to be yourself in every situation puts you in the path of victory. My dear, determine to conquer yourself. Be slow to anger and be self-controlled. The Bible says, “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.” (Proverbs 16:32). Some people are too impatient that they mess up their own lives. Beloved, there is strength in being patient. Patience is a virtue that can take you where might can’t take you. Remember, you’ve conquered nothing if you haven’t conquered yourself. Be wise!

TOPIC : PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD

Wednesday, March 6, 2019

Bible Verse : Blessed is that man that makes the LORD his trust, and respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Psalms 40:4

LISTEN : A little child can’t be scared of his mother. As a matter of fact, he expresses trust on her. Even when his mother playfully throws him in the air, he’s not afraid of any damage, because he knows that his mother will not allow him to land himself on the ground. He knows that the loving and compassionate hands of his mother will safely catch him. He’s so much trusted his mother that he’s no more afraid of any evil. In the same way, you should trust God. God will protect and bless those who trust in Him. He’ll exalts those who value His presence in their lives. Beloved, make God your fortress. Don’t be afraid of the wicked, proud and liars who have no fear of God; or regard their threats to you. Our God is mighty and supreme and will defend you always. Therefore, no matter the circumstance, always put your trust in the living God and you’ll not be put to shame. Be wise!

Prayer : Blessed Father, you are faithful and dependable. Therefore, I’ll put my trust in you always, in Jesus’ name, amen.
