Verse Of The Day : Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4

LISTEN : A christian woman who lost her four children in rapid succession to a strange disease was approached by a friend of the family, who, after reflecting on the weight of the tragedy on her, asked, “Friend, will you ever be happy again?” The woman replied, “I have every reason to be happy, because the death of my children is not the death of my God. I’ll always be happy because my God lives.” And because of her faith in God, God blessed her with other children. My dear, sometimes we experience similar things, but fail to exercise faith in God. In times of troubles many choose depression over happiness. They don’t see any reason to be happy again. Beloved, that shouldn’t be the case. Don’t allow depression to dictate the direction of your life or consume your destiny. Have faith in God and be happy all the time. Faith in God will fill your heart with joy even in time of trouble, and God will release the Spirit of joy, even the Holy Spirit into your heart. When you have faith in God, pain, disappointment, heartbreak, hardship, sorrow, tribulations, crisis, rejection, persecution, etc, can’t drown your joy (Habakkuk 3:17,18). Friend, your joy can’t cease if you continuously fix your eyes on God. As much as your eyes are on God, your heart can still find solace in Him. Henceforth, when sorrow strives to take the place of joy in your heart, resist it. Learn to rest in the power of God and never allow sorrow to ruin your life. No matter the circumstance always remember that, the joy of the Lord is your strength. So, be wise!

TOPIC : A SACRIFICE THAT GOD CAN’T DESPISE

Monday, March 11, 2019

Bible Verse : The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalms 51:17

LISTEN : God doesn’t eat the blood of bulls or other animals. He doesn’t eat your food. What He wants is your heart. He demands a certain level of sacrifice from you. The sacrifice you can make to God is to turn from evil ways and embrace righteousness. When a sinner cries to God in sincere repentance and turns away from his evil ways, God will cease to hold his sin against him. My dear, when you’re broken in spirit and sincerely feels or shows remorse for your sin, God will forgive you. That’s the sacrifice that God can’t despise. Our Bible verse says, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” (Psalms 51:17). My dear, do you have a good relationship with God? Do you feel disturbed in your conscience and realised that you’ve sinned against God? Repent and confess your sin to Him today and He will forgive you. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear LORD, I thank you for your words today. I confess and repent of my sin to you. Therefore, forgive my sin and restore my fellowship with you, in Jesus’ name, amen.
