Verse Of The Day : Tremble with fear and do not sin! Meditate as you lie in bed, and repent of your ways! Psalms 4:4

LISTEN : The most pitiable state of life is to live without the fear of God (Psalms 14:1; 9:17). Lack of fear of God pushes people to think very unreasonable and still claim to be wise. Lack of fear of God is the reason why people do and say anything they fill like, against God. They’re quick to blame God for their misfortunes and tragedies. They question His power and existence just because He couldn’t show up in their times of trouble. I read a post on Facebook credited to a Ghanaian atheist, about the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 crash, that claimed the lives of all the 149 passengers and eight crew members on board few days ago. In his post he gave possible reasons why God couldn’t save anyone on board. He said, “1. God was sleeping 2. God was busy drinking beer with Satan 3. God couldn’t be bothered as he does not care about homo sapiens 4. God caused this evil to happen himself 5. God is powerless and couldn’t do anything 6. God has been dead a long time ago but no one came to tell us 7. There is no God.” When I was reading his post my heart was bleeding because of the level of darkness Satan has cast in the hearts of men; and how it’s been sustained by self-inflicted ignorance. A mortal man making jest of an immortal God. My dear, when a mortal man decides to make jest of an immortal God, he has lost his sense of reasoning and sanity. Beloved, learn to fear God. Never follow or patronise the ignorance of those who have no fear of God. Rather, reproof them and pray for the light of the gospel of Christ to shine into their hearts. My prayer for everyone that lacks the fear of God is to be transformed today in Jesus’ name, amen. My dear, be wise!

TOPIC : HOPE BEYOND THIS LIFE

Friday, March 15, 2019

Bible Verse : If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 1 Corinthians 15:19

LISTEN : Nothing in this life lasts forever. Only the words of God and those who fear and honour Him will live beyond this life. Therefore, you should learn to hope beyond this life by living in line with the will of God. Beloved, we should not limit our hope in Christ to this present life. The Bible says, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable” (1Cor. 15:19). Friend, when you live just for what the world can offer, surely, you will be miserable hereafter. Therefore, learn to spend your time, energy, resources, etc, on things with eternal value. Always hunger for God, because anyone who will wish for a blissful future with God must learn to hunger for righteousness. (Matthew 5:6). Beloved, if your life is not lived for God, then you have lived in vain. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, help me to put my trust in you and to hope beyond this life, in Jesus’ name, amen.
