Verse Of The Day : For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17
LISTEN : We suffer to survive and succeed in life, because life is not a respecter of persons. Life both teaches and tortures us at the same time. Sometimes life is made better by the lesson we learned from it. And other times our hearts are made bitter or broken by the same life. As a matter of fact, we both learn and suffer from life’s circumstances. But the good news is that, as a true child of God, no matter what you suffer in this life, it is just a light affliction compared to the glory you will receive for believing in Jesus Christ the Word of God. No one is immune to this light affliction, but as children of God, we are fortified by our faith in Christ to cope with it. My dear, your strength in time of trouble is your faith in God. When you operate in faith you will swim in strength. No affliction is too powerful to paralyse the power of faith. Yes! Faith will keep you firmly footed when the storm of life is raging, and will keep you standing when it is over. Friend, I want you to know that, whatever you are passing through now is momentary. So, don’t throw away your confidence in God because of trials. Instead, be strong and know that, your pain, heartbreak, hardship, sorrow, trials, sickness, rejection, persecution, and the like are just temporary. If you hold onto your faith, you will receive the reward of obedience, patience and faith. Remember, all our sufferings are but light afflictions. Be wise!

TOPIC : WHO IS YOUR GOD

Bible Verse : You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3
LISTEN : God Almighty, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is the true God. He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is our God. Glory and honour belong to Him. Nothing is worthy of God’s glory other than God Himself. This is why He warned His people against worshipping other gods. The Bible says, “You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:3). God’s commandment to them (Israel) was to worship only Him. They must not worship any other god. When people worship other gods other than the living God, He is provoked. God does not take it lightly when He is denied of His honour and glory. He is provoked when something else takes the first place in our hearts. Beloved, who is your God? My dear, worship the true and living God. Remember, worship belongs to God and we should dedicate our lives to Him and Him alone. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, help me to worship only you and none other, in Jesus’ name, amen.
