Verse Of The Day : For I take no delight in the death of anyone, declares the sovereign LORD. Repent and live! Ezekiel 18:32

LISTEN : A preacher of the gospel, met a group of bad boys in one of his preaching assignments. After sharing with them the good news of the kingdom of God, and God’s willingness to forgive and receive them if they repent and return to Him; and God not willing that anyone of them should perish. One of them asked him, “Sir, do you know the crime we have committed? Do you think God can forgive us?” The preacher smiled and embraced him and said, “My dear, I am happy that you know there is God. And that He hates sin. God doesn’t hates you; He hates sin. If you can repent and confess your sin to Him, you will live.” At that point, all of them (the bad boys) broke down in tears and went down on their knees praying and sobbing and saying, “Oh God of mercy, have mercy on us as we repent of our sins today?” The preacher prayed for them and they accepted Jesus Christ and dropped their criminal activities. My dear, the mind of God for you is to please Him and be saved. He takes no delight in the death of a sinner. He wants to save you. But you must repent and return to Him to be saved. You can’t be saved unless you repent and return to God. If you can’t repent and return to God you have chosen the path of destruction. (John 3:18). The choice is yours. My dear, if it is too hard for you to forsake sin, it will be too hard for you to receive God’s mercy. And if it is too hard for you to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, it will be too easy for you to end in hell with Satan. (Romans 6:23). Remember, you have the opportunity to repent and live today? Be wise!

TOPIC : THE HAND BEHIND THE VICTORY

Friday, April 12, 2019

Bible Verse : For you have armed me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. 2 Samuel 22:40

LISTEN : God is with His people. We belong to Him. He is the hand behind our every victory. Therefore, you should acknowledge Him as your Saviour and source of strength. In our Bible verse, David acknowledged and revered God as his deliverer, stronghold and source of strength. (2 Samuel 22:40). He acknowledged and praised God as the hand behind his victory over all his enemies, including King Saul. (2 Samuel 22:1-3). David made it through the storm of his life because his hope was in the living God. In spite of his trials and afflictions he could boldly say, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4). Friend, do not be afraid, rather put your hope in God and you will make it through the storm of your life. Remember, the hands of God is with you to give you victory. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting God, thank you for arming me with strength for battle, and victory over the enemy, in Jesus’ name, amen.
