Verse Of The Day : You are from God, little children, and have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

LISTEN : There is no battle of life that you can’t win when God is on your side. He that is with God is more than a majority. My dear, when life brings its battles to you, you conquer them by your faith in Christ Jesus. We have a common enemy, the devil. And because Jesus Christ conquered him on calvary cross, we have conquered him too. Christ’s victory is our victory; and His glory is our glory. Beloved, there is no reason to be afraid of anything. You have a God who is greater than your enemies. Therefore, you should recognise the fact that, Christ has given you victory and authority (Romans 8:37; 1 Corinthians 15:57). As you engage the devil and his agents in any situation in your life, determine to do the following things: 1). Pray to God. Tell Him about the situation. David said, “I called to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I was delivered from my enemies.” (Psalms 18:3). 2). Speak by faith. Don’t be intimidated by any situation, rather trust the power of God. 3). Plead the blood of Jesus Christ. His blood is the blood of God’s covenant with us. You are protected when you maintain a relationship with God. 4). Walk upright. Avoid sin and embrace righteousness instead. And 5). Abide in Christ and continuously tell others about Him. Don’t compromise your faith and salvation, rather be strong and focused. Remember, you can win the battles of life with God on your side. Be wise!

EVENING

TOPIC : HONOURED FROM ABOVE

Monday, April 15, 2019

Bible Verse : That day the LORD brought honor to Joshua before all Israel. They respected him all his life, just as they had respected Moses. Joshua 4:14

LISTEN : If God doesn’t honour you, you can’t truly be honoured. You will be honoured from above when you honour God in the earth. What does it mean to honour God? It means to respect and revere Him because He is God. It means to hold Him in high esteem. My dear, the day you choose to make honouring God your topmost priority is the day you have chosen to make divine honour your portion in life. When Moses sent the twelve spies to the land of Canaan to explore, only Joshua and Caleb came back with a good report. The remaining ten came back with evil report that broke the heart of the people and made them doubt God’s ability to give them the land of Canaan. (Numbers 13:25-33). But because Joshua honoured God in the eyes of Israel, God also honoured him when he became the leader after the death of Moses. Through him, God cause the Jordan river to dry up for the children of Israel to pass through. After that encounter, the children of Israel respected Joshua all his life. My dear, do you desire honour from above? Then, honour and fear God! Surely, you cannot honour God and end in disgrace. Be wise!

Prayer : Blessed Father, help me to honour and fear you always, in Jesus’ name, amen.
