Verse Of The Day : And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience. And patience, experience; and experience, hope. Romans 5:3-4

LISTEN : When your trials increase, determine to grow in patience and faith and you will overcome in the end. Patience is a virtue every Christian should have. You need patience because you may not always have things the way you wanted them. Sometimes you may encounter delays and have to wait against your will; you should learn to accept delays graciously and wait until it is the appointed time (Psalms 27:13-14). Other times you may have to encounter something worse than delay; maybe a ‘no, or silence’ as the case may be. Then, you have need of patience. You should learn to accept delays graciously and calmly. Without patience you will make enemies where there should be none, fail where you should succeed; fall where you should stand firm, quit when you should keep pressing on, mourn when you should rejoice, fight where peace should reign, regret when you should be proud of yourself. My dear, your life will be a nightmare if you lack this priceless virtue called patience. Anyone who lacks patience lacks the strength of life. So, stop being unreasonably impatient in life, because it will land you in trouble. No matter the circumstance, don’t be rash or troubled when faced with a situation; instead, grow in patience and you will gain experience, and experience will in turn give you hope. Therefore, be patient always and keep your hope alive. Be wise!

TOPIC : REAL WISDOM IS TO KNOW GOD

Friday, April 26, 2019

Bible Verse : One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to see the LORD’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4

LISTEN : True wisdom is to know the only true God. Striving to know God should be our topmost priority. To know God is to determine to please, honour, worship and glorify Him with our lives. My dear, whatever you have in life, minus God, equal to nothing. When you pursue the so-called good things of life at the expense of God, you will lose all at your own expense. You have gained nothing when you reject and ignore God. Beloved, there is nothing more important than the desire to please God. Every other thing should queue behind it. You are sure to succeed when God is your topmost priority. (Matthew 6:33). Like David, the desire to please God should be paramount in our lives. In our Bible verse David said, “One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to see the LORD’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.” (Psalms 27:4). My dear, learn to seek after God. Let the desire to serve and worship Him consume your heart henceforth. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to know you more and more, in Jesus’ name, amen.
