Verse Of The Day : Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all. Psalms 34:19
LISTEN : A new convert in a certain church asked the pastor and said, “Pastor, now that I am born again and belongs to God, am I not exempted from troubles of life? Will God not keep me from having troubles?” The pastor looked at him and smiled and said, “My brother, being a Christian doesn’t exempt you from troubles of life. Troubles will come, but God promises to deliver you at all times. All you need to do is trust Him. Okay?” My dear, this piece of advice is for everyone of us. no one is immune to problems of life. Everyone has a fair share of them (Job 14:1). The righteous (children of God who are bought by the blood of Jesus Christ) are no exception to that. As a matter of fact, they share greatly in the troubles of life because of their faith. Our Bible verse says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.” (Psalms 34:19). The love and mercy of God for the righteous are greater than the weight of trouble upon them. His loving hands are never weak to lift them up from the dust anytime time they fall. No matter the weight and amount of affliction they are faced with, the grace of God is sufficient to give them victory. The righteous are the beloved of God therefore, God will not leave them to suffer shame and endless humiliation. No matter how many times they might face trials, God will deliver them time and time again. What a wonderful promise from a loving God! Beloved, whom the LORD loves He saves; and whom He saves He protects. So, if you are a child of God, don’t bother yourself about your problems, rather, believe that, no matter the number of times you may face trials, God will deliver you time and time again. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Great peace have they which love your law: and nothing shall offend them. Psalms 119:165
LISTEN : The fear of God releases peace in our hearts. Our hearts are settled when we realise that, we have peace with God. Hence, when the world cannot find peace in the midst of troubles, we lovers of God can. My dear? Peace is possible in Christ Jesus. Jesus said to His disciples, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage – I have conquered the world.” (John 16:33). The mystery behind the peace of God the believer enjoys in the midst of troubles is based on a relationship with God. The believer understands that all power belongs to God and therefore cannot be afraid of anything. He derives comfort and peace from the word of God. As a result, nothing can hurt or offend him. He is not afraid of bad news because his God is in control. Beloved, is your life characterised by crisis and war? Believe in God and His word and you will find peace even in times of troubles. Be wise!
Prayer : Precious Father, you are the God of peace. Help me to find peace even in times of troubles, in Jesus’ name, amen!
