Verse Of The Day : O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Isaiah 25:1

LISTEN : What you love, you praise and esteem highly. No one praises what he hates or despises. People praise what they love, value and cherish. In the same way, you can’t highly esteem, honour or give praise to God if you don’t value Him above all else. The value you attach to God will determine what or who takes the topmost place in your life. My dear, it will be hard for you to offer praise to God and exalt Him unless you know who God really is, by having a relationship with Him. Your relationship with God will produce praise to Him. When you are closer to God, you are sure to discover how great and wonderful He is. And God will always show Himself mighty to those who love and exalt Him, and make Him their own God. My dear, God created you. Therefore, it is your responsibility to fear, obey, honour, exalt and praise Him above all else. Yes, for His wonderful works and goodness you should offer praise to Him. The Bible says, “O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” (Isaiah 25:1). Beloved, how much do you love God? How much praise do you offer to His glorious name? And how does His name sounds in your ears? My dear, if you love God, His name will sound sweet in your ears, and your mouth will unfailingly speak of His glory. So, if you claim to love God, give praise to Him. Be wise!

TOPIC : SERVE GOD WITH FEAR, HONOUR AND JOY

Sunday, May 12, 2019

Bible Verse : Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Psalms 2:11

LISTEN : God should be served and worshipped on His own terms and not ours. And His condition is that we fear, honour, obey and worship Him in Spirit and truth. Besides, we should worship Him with gladness. Beloved, the first lesson of man is to fear and respect God (Proverbs 9:10). God must be first in our lives. God is more important than our businesses. He is more important than all else. When we make a decision, we must first consider Him. We must ask whether our plans are good or evil. We must decide whether our plans give honour to him or not. This is important because, God can only honour those who honours him. But those who despise him will be lightly esteemed (1 Samuel 2:30). God should be accorded a worthy service, he should be given the respect that is due him, this is only the first lesson of every man. Henceforth, let us learn to serve God with fear, honour and gladness. Be wise!

Prayer : Heavenly Father, help me to worship, serve, fear and honour you for the rest of my life, amen!
