Verse Of The Day : Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. James 5:13

LISTEN : The topic of worry cannot be overemphasised. Because of the prevalence of troubles and problems of life, worry seems to be inevitable and responsible for some health conditions and lack of peace of mind. Worry leaves our minds unsettled, and make our body unfit to confront our challenges. What does it mean to worry? It means to think about problems or fears: to feel or show fear or concern because you think that something bad has happened or could happen. My dear, worry reduces the voice of faith and increases the voice of fear. It closes the ears to the voice of God and opens them to the voice of Satan; it blinds the eyes to the promises of God and opens them to the lies of the devil. Therefore, when you are faced with trials, you should rather spend your time in prayer and not waste it on worries. Time spent on prayer is a time well spent; but time spent on worry is a waste of time and energy. My dear, the arrival of problems is not an invitation to worry, panic, depression or fear; but a call to pray and to grow more and more in faith (Philippians 4:6-7). When trouble comes, it is time to come to God and not time to run away from Him. Beloved, your passion for prayer should rise with your troubles. When your hunger for prayer grows, your faith in God in times of troubles will certainly grow. My dear, time of trouble is time for prayer and not time for worries. So, learn to spend time in prayer and don’t waste it on worry.

TOPIC : BE COURAGEOUS AND EXPECT DIVINE HELP

Monday, May 13, 2019

Bible Verse : Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the LORD. Psalms 31:24

LISTEN : Beloved, be strong and courageous always. Don’t allow any situation in your life to turn you into a weakling. No doubt, life is full of situations that often cause fear and heartbreak. However, those who are strong and courageous don’t give in or give up no matter what. They overcome their problems in spite of frustrations, challenges, or oppositions confronting them. My dear, no one can achieve anything worthwhile without courage and inner strength to combat challenges. God wants us to be strong and courageous, He does not want us to quit our God-given pursuit for any reason. In life, fear may come, our lives may be threatened, we may have no one else left on our side, but courage and faith in God can still give us the victory. So, be strong and courageous; for victory is possible to anyone who is courageous and full of faith. Be wise!

Prayer Dear Lord, I thank you because you are my God. Therefore, help me to always be strong and courageous, in Jesus’ name, amen!
