Verse Of The Day : A friend loves at all times… Proverbs 17:17

LISTEN : A wealthy man watched his children come home everyday with their so-called friends to eat and merry. One day, the man gathered his children and asked them, “My children, who are these people you always come back home with?” They answered cheerfully, “They are our friends.” “Your friends?” Asked the man. “Yes father!” They replied. Furthermore, the man said, “My children, you will not know a true friend until you have a need, or find yourself in trouble, or in a hopeless situation. So, be careful and allow difficult times to show you your true friends.” Few months later things became difficult for the family. And the man waited to see the friends of his children as usual, but none came around, except one of them who kept coming and helping them out with food. One day, as the same boy visited, the man gathered his children again and asked them, “Children, where are those your friends?” And they tearfully replied, “They are all gone, except this one here with us.” He smiled and said, “Children, remember I told you that, you will know your friends in times of troubles and need?” Pointing to the boy who visits them he said, “This is your true friend. Please don’t lose him!” My dear, we have seen this happen to us or people we know. Those who claim to be our friends turned out to be fake. They came into our lives with ulterior motives. They came just for what they will gain and not what they will offer. They are friends just in good times alone, but enemies in hard times. Beloved, be a worthy friend! The Bible says, A friend loves at all times.” (Proverbs 17:17). Friendship is good, because it gives you the opportunity to help and be helped, and to love and be loved. But when friendship is limited to good times alone, relationship will end when hard time appears. Beloved, be a worthy friend. Be wise!

TOPIC : JESUS CHRIST CAME TO SEEK AND SAVE SINNERS

Sunday, May 19, 2019

Bible Verse : For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. Luke 19:10

LISTEN : The good news that has been rejected by the world, that Jesus Christ comes to seek and to save sinners is still available to you today. He came to save those who accept Him as Lord and Saviour. Beloved, you belong to God and therefore should come to Him. Jesus is waiting for your return. He came to seek and to save us. And with His blood He has brought us back to God (Joh 10:16). When He walked through the earth, it took Him pain and compassion to seek for those that must be saved (Luk 15:4). It took Him time and pains to find sinners, and gain their consent. My dear, a lost soul is not so easily recovered and restored from his straying. However, He committed himself to His assignment, to seek and to save. Today, He is still calling you. He is calling you by His word, for He comes as a teacher from heaven, to recall sinners from their wanderings. He is calling you to a life of holiness, obedience, faith and commitment. My dear, do not reject this invitation because you may lose it forever. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you because Jesus Christ came to seek and to save sinners like me. Therefore, I accept Him today and always, amen!
