Verse Of The Day : And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel. Judges 2:10
LISTEN : If nothing is done, it is obvious that the next generation will find it difficult to know God because, some past generations and ours has failed to show the younger people the way to the living God. Many things have gone wrong and still going wrong today because, the next generation are being estranged from God by those who should show them the way to God. Most parents have failed their kids and ultimately the next generation for failing to teach them the fear of God (Deuteronomy 6:5-7). They have encouraged and permitted ungodly lifestyles in their kids, hence, making it difficult for their kids to acknowledge God. Today, what most kids can only remember or know how to do is to do evil. My dear, until we agree that, we are severing our children from the living God, we cannot retrace our steps. No matter the amount of love and care we shower on our kids, if they are disconnected from God they are ruined. As children of God, our duty is to connect the next generation to God by teaching them the words and ways of God. Let them know that, they have no future without God (Psalms 9:17). And let them teach same to their own children.
Our Bible verse of the day talks about a generation that arose in Israel, after a generation that knew God and saw His mighty works had passed away. The next generation did not remember or know God, simply because, those who should have been teaching them neglected to do so. In fact, their parents let down them. They failed to teach the words of God to them and to guide them to do same. Beloved, if your kids must know God you should be the one to make it happen. The best gift you can ever give to your kids is to teach them to love and fear God. When that is done, other good things can find their way into their lives even when you are dead and gone. Remember, your kids are counting on you; and it is your responsibility to connect them to the true and living God. So, let us wake up from our slumber and lead our kids to God. Be wise!

Bible Verse : You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalms 16:11
LISTEN : The blessings of God is for those who value His presence. God’s presence comes with His blessings. The Bible says, “You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalms 16:11). My dear, when you delight in the presence of God you will be saved from sin and falsehood of the world, because God will show you the path of life and righteousness. In His presence you will experience unspeakable joy even in moments of troubles and trials. Besides, His presence sets Satan’s captives free. The Bible says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom.” (2 Corintians 3:17). This means that, to be empty of the presence of God is to be empty of true freedom. Without God freedom is not possible; and where freedom is denied, pain and sorrow will reign. Beloved, learn to value the presence of God and you will receive His blessings. Be wise?
Prayer: Dear Lord, show me the path of righteousness and life, and help me to walk with you always, amen!
