Verse Of The Day : So I saw that there is nothing better than for a man to have joy in his work–because that is his reward… Ecclesiastics 3:22
LISTEN : Passion is the wheel with which purpose runs. And passion cannot be sustained without having joy in what you do. The day you begin to hate what you do, your passion for it begins to to die. It will be practically impossible to achieve your goals if you are bankrupt of passion and joy. A lot of people set goals but do not reach those goals because they lack passion. They often abandon their goals as a result of distractions, impatience and lack of courage to persevere all the way. Beloved, you cannot be fulfilled until you have done well. So, how are you pursuing your goals? Apostle Paul reveals helpful information on how to reach our goals. He says, “I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single-minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead, with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize…” (Philippians 3:13-14). He (Paul) mentioned singleness of purpose, determination and focus as what has helped him to accomplish his God-given goals. He disengaged with his past and focused on the future. Beloved, is your past filled with regrettable experiences? Is your past trying to take the best of you? Please don’t allow it. To reach your goal you must be focused, determined, single-minded and have faith in God. Besides, you should be happy in your works. Let your career, occupation, profession, etc., make you happy. My dear, you can’t make any meaningful progress in life until you are happy with your works. If what you do brings you joy, you will not lack the zeal to keep pushing until your labour is rewarded. Be wise!

TOPIC : SHOW YOUR GENTLENESS BY THE WAY YOU LIVE
Monday, May 27, 2019
Bible Verse : Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is near. Philippians 4:5
LISTEN : The world is old and laden with sin, and the second coming of Christ will soon be here. Therefore, we should live gently and wisely. In our verse of the day, we are urged to be gentle. Gentleness is not a sign of timidity or weakness; or a demonstration of folly, but a proof of godliness and wisdom. You distinguished yourself when you live gently and wisely toward others. God wants you to be gentle. He wants us to lead a gentle life. That is, He wants us to have or show a kind and quiet nature. He does not want us to be unnecessarily harsh or violent toward others. Gentleness is one of the “fruit” of the Holy Spirit, at such, every child of God should possess it. The Bible says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control…” (Galatians 5:22,23). Beloved, are you gentle to others? Gentle people do not terrorise or traumatise others. They do not kidnap, maim, torture or kill others. They are peaceful and tolerant. They value human lives and respect God. They are conscious of their actions and the corresponding consequences. My dear, strive to be gentle and God-fearing, because it pays to obey God. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to live a gentle life as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen!
