Verse Of The Day : I, the LORD, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:10
LISTEN : A certain man contracted the construction of his two buildings to two different Engineers. Unknown to the Engineers, the owner of the house kept a secret investigator to feed him with what goes on at the site daily. With excitement, both of them (Engineers) promised to deliver the project according to specifications and within the time agreed. By investigation one was reported to be greedy, and the other was reported to be contented and faithful. Within four months, the projects were completed and the owner was called upon to inspect the projects and certify them. He called for the house plan of both buildings, and asked, if they were constructed according to specifications. Sadly, when the Engineers brought the house plans, the house owner discovered that, one of the Engineers built something different and far less than what he was paid for.
Immediately, the house owner certified the one built by the other Engineer and demanded that, the greedy Engineer demolish his own and build it according to specifications. The Engineer pleaded with the owner of the house and wept bitterly to no avail. Sadly, he used up his supposed excess gain from the building project, and still sold some of his property to be able to rebuild the house. He lost heavily; he lost everything! But the faithful, contented and wise Engineer went home rejoicing because he was rewarded for a job well done. Like the house owner, God searches our hearts (1 Samuel 16:7). He watches what we do. Beloved, do the right thing. Do not be fraudulent, wicked or ungodly just because others are. Rather, walk with God in obedience. My dear, God has got you covered. He is watching out for you, and He guarantees that, all your decisions motivated by love will be rewarded (Psalms 7:9). So, live with the consciousness of the fact that, God sees what we do. Be wise!

TOPIC : DESIRING TO BE AT THE TOP

Bible Verse : … but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. Mark 10:43-44
LISTEN : Everyone wants to be at the top, and there is nothing wrong with that. But God has a standard for it. If you want to be at the top, you must do it God’s way. You must serve to climb up. One of the ways to be at the top is to serve others. Genuine service is “a ladder” to greatness. Hence, not to serve is not to excel. To serve means to minister to others, attending to and waiting upon others, caring for, and serving the needs of others. Sadly, only a few people are humble enough to serve others. Lots of people believe that serving others will downgrade their status and reputation. They fail to understand that serving others will increase their worth in the society. My dear, are you truly serving others? Are you putting the best interests and needs of others before yours? Do you esteem others higher than yourself? (Philippians 2:3-4). Jesus Christ urged His disciples (us) to dedicate themselves to serving others if they must achieve true greatness. In the same way, we should serve others no matter our positions. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to serve others to the glory of your name, amen.
