Verse Of The Day : When I refused to confess my sin, my whole body wasted away, while I groaned in pain all day long. Psalms 32:3

LISTEN : Strive to live always with a clear conscience (1 Peter 3:16). Guilt is too much of a heavy load to be carried about in the journey of life. Guilt comes as a result of failing to do the right thing. It is to one’s harm to be aware of one’s wrong and pretend not to be aware of it. When you are guilty of an offense, you will discover that, you have lost your confidence and suddenly become a prisoner of conscience until you confess your wrong and obtain forgiveness. When you confess your wrong doings to God, and ask forgiveness from the one you have offended, you will receive freedom and healing for your wounded conscience. To confess is to admit that, you have done something wrong or illegal. When David sinned against God and humanity, he was tormented by the guilt of his sin when he refused to confess it. God punished him severely for his evil. However, when he confessed and asked for forgiveness he received mercy and emotional freedom (1 John 1:9). My dear, confession brings forgiveness and emotional freedom. It frees our consciences from the captivity of guilt and the burden of sin. Sometimes it is difficult to confess our sins because of fear of our reputation being damaged. We believe that, if anyone happens to know of the wrong we have done, we are finished. As a matter of fact, we will lose our respect and self esteem. Sadly, we seem to care about our reputation and don’t care about our lives and relationships with God. Beloved, is there anything you have done that is troubling your heart? Is your conscience unsettled? My dear, look for someone you can trust and share your burdens with him or her. I assure you, it will ease the pain of guilt in your heart. So, whatever wrong that is troubling your conscience, confess it to God and seek forgiveness today. Be wise!

TOPIC : REJOICE AND KEEP REJOICING

Sunday, June 2, 2019

Bible Verse : Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4

LISTEN : Joy will overflow in your heart when you rely on the power of God. No matter what happens we should always be happy as children of God. No situation should make us so sad that we refuse to be joyful. Anyone who truly believes in God will not neglect to rejoice at all times. The joy of the LORD is the strength of the believer in times of troubles, pain, disappointment, heartbreak, hardship, sorrow, tribulations, crisis, rejection, persecution, etc. (Habakkuk 3:17,18). Beloved, it is obvious that our hearts most times could be broken by tragedy and other ugly experiences, however, we can still find solace in the Lord. When sorrow seems to take the place of joy in your heart, resist it. No matter the reason for your heartbreak and sorrow, learn to rest in the power of the LORD. My dear, don’t allow sorrow to ruin your life. So, don’t be consumed by sorrow, rather rejoice and continue to rejoice in the power of God. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you because you are my joy. Help me to rejoice always, in Jesus’ name, amen!
