Verse Of The Day : Consequently, just as condemnation for all people came through one transgression, so too through the one righteous act came righteousness leading to life for all people. Romans 5:18

LISTEN : Lots of people, including some Christians have no understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ; if they do, they will treat it differently. The gospel opens our eyes to the redemptive work of Christ and our righteousness in Him through His sacrificial death. The gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation. Yes, the gospel is the vehicle through which God meets people in their pitiable state of sin. My dear, the power of God for us is buried in the gospel of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:17-18). As a matter of fact, where the gospel goes the power of God goes. And he who has the gospel has the power of God. Apostle Paul said, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16). What is Gospel? Gospel simply means good news. Jesus Christ’s message from God to the world is good news. It is the message of salvation and eternal life. What good news could be better than hearing a Judge who should have sentence you to death for your crime, but rather discharged and acquitted you out of mercy? That is the good news of Christ Jesus from heaven. Through obedience to the gospel, God has declared us “Not guilty” by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. My dear, the good news God brings to us is worth celebrating. It should get us excited unless you don’t know what it really means. Beloved, the gospel of Christ Jesus is the power of God; therefore, accept the gospel today. Remember, you cannot be empty of power and life if your heart is consumed by the gospel of Christ Jesus. Be wise!

Verse Of The Day : Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2

LISTEN : Keep praying and praising God. Prayer will give peace to your troubled heart; because prayer leaves worries in the hands of a loving and caring God. My dear, he who prays in faith cannot be addicted to worry. (Philippians 4:6,7). In prayer, problems are surrendered to God in anticipation of a positive outcome. When you pray knowing that God has heard you, you cannot leave in fear of your circumstances. To experience the joy and benefits of prayer you should pray with thanksgiving. You should thank God in advance believing that He has heard you; and celebrate His promises and accept them as belonging to you. Beloved, without faith it is difficult to pray in times of troubles, and more difficult to pray with thanksgiving. People see prayer as a slow process of receiving answers to their problems. But those who understand the importance of prayer cannot neglect to pray because they know that when God answers prayer, He gives a lasting solution. So, pray and praise God always. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you because you are God. I will keep praying and praising you always, in Jesus’ name, amen!
