Verse Of The Day : Let not your heart be troubled: have faith in God and have faith in me. John 14:1
LISTEN : Don’t be troubled in your heart, instead, train yourself to be calm. Even in the midst of troubles you can still experience calm (Mark 4:37-40). It is good to be calm in one’s heart, because a troubled heart is a troubled life. When the heart is troubled, life gradually loses direction. What does it mean to be calm? It means not showing or feeling nervous, anger, or other strong emotions. It means to be free from disturbance. Beloved, why is it important you practice to be calm in your heart? It is because we are living in a trouble-ridden world, and that alone is capable of stealing peace from our hearts and minds. And when the heart is troubled life becomes a nightmare. Knowing this fact, Jesus Christ encouraged His disciples to be calm in their hearts and be strong in faith. He asked them to have faith in God and in Him (John 14:1). My dear, to enjoy calm in your heart, you must have faith in God (Psalms 119:165). A heart where faith reigns cannot be a playground for fear, worry and depression. One may ask, “Is it possible to be calm in this wicked world? Is it possible to be calm when there are tensions, threat to life, and fear-inducing situations everywhere you turn?” Yes, it is possible if you fix your eyes on God. The more your eyes are on God the more peace you receive to your troubled heart. My dear, calmness is a virtue which takes practice to perfect. But it is so beneficial. So, practice quietness by meditating on the word of God. Quietness teaches you stillness of mind. Your mind must be quiet for you to really enjoy that state of calm you so desire. Henceforth, train yourself to be calm by putting your trust in God no matter what. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
LISTEN : We don’t serve a God who is inconsiderate and insensitive to the sufferings of His people; rather, we are serving the God who is caring and loving. The God that feels the pain and needs of His people. He created us for His own glory, and therefore will sustain us. Beloved, because God created us and give us life daily, let him also take care of all the things that we are worried about. Why should I doubt God’s ability to meet my needs, fix my problems and better my life when I know He created me with no mistakes? My dear, God cares about you as much as He cares about me. So, if I know God cares about me, what should I do? I should have faith in Him, quit worrying myself, trust His promises, determine never to give up on Him, refuse to fear or faint in the face of troubles, and wait patiently for Him. Friend, why worry when you have God’s shoulders to lean on? Why destroy your life when you can trust God for intervention? Therefore, throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you. Be wise!
Prayer : Blessed Father, thank you for you are caring and loving, unlike other gods, you don’t abandon your own. Therefore, I will trust and serve you always, in Jesus’ name, amen!
