Verse Of The Day : Saul’s son Jonathan got up and went to David at Horesh, and he encouraged him to trust in God. 1 Samuel 23:16
LISTEN : Lots of people are already frustrated and tired of life. They want to end it all. Such people don’t need embarrassment or further frustration, but encouragement. They need a word of hope and comfort. They need someone to tell them to be strong and courageous and fix their eyes on God. This was exactly what Jonathan did for his dear friend David when he was in trouble. Though, Jonathan was the supposed heir apparent to the throne of Israel, yet, he didn’t listen to his father Saul, or support him in his plans to kill David his perceived threat to the throne. Instead, he encouraged David to put his hope in God. My dear, people don’t need your embarrassment, but your encouragement. Learn to encourage others. Those who are struggling need the strength that comes from compassion and encouragement. We motivate people by encouragement, not embarrassment. What does it mean to embarrass? It means to make someone look foolish in public. My dear, this’s not what people want, they want encouragement. They want you to make them more determined, hopeful and confident in pursuing the purpose of God for their lives. The Bible says, “And we urge you, brothers and sisters, admonish the undisciplined, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient toward all.” (1 Thessalonians 5:14 NET). Henceforth, reminds the discouraged what God can do and wants to do for and through them. Be wise!

TOPIC : SAVE YOUR WORDS TO SAVE YOURSELF
Bible Verse : Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles. Proverbs 21:23 UKJV
LISTEN : My dear, save your words to save yourself. Don’t forget that, life and death are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21). Though, the tongue is a small organ of the body, but can pull down the greatest of men who choose to use it recklessly. Your mouth can be a great blessing to you and others if you use it wisely. It could equally be a curse, tragedy and source of great pain if you choose to use it wrongly and carelessly. Your life is not safe until your mouth is wisely and purposefully shut up. Similarly, as a christian, your faith will amount to a waste of time if your tongue is not bridled. (James 1:26). He who professes faith in Christ Jesus, but enjoys a “wide mouth and unbridled tongue” deceives himself, and his profession of religion is in vain. Beloved, guard your mouth and tongue if you must escape some troubles of this life. Know when to talk and when to be mute. Don’t indulge hate speeches, gossiping, blackmailing, backbiting, or evil words from your mouth; instead, let the words of God guide your behaviour and utterances. Beloved, be wise and careful with your words, and your life will not be a nightmare to you. Remember, if you save your words you’ll save your life. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to talk wisely and save myself some troubles, amen!
