Verse Of The Day : A generous person will be enriched, and the one who provides water for others will be satisfied. Proverbs 11:25

LISTEN : God gives generously and wants us to give generously too. He wants us to show concern and kindness to others. He wants us to freely give or share what we have with others. He wants us to give more than enough as occasion demands. That’s what it means to be generous. My dear, God blesses those who bless others. He gives freely to those who give freely and share what they have with others. God will provide abundantly for those who provide abundantly for others. When you show kindness and concern for others, God will show concern and kindness to you. You can’t work for God and have everything work against you. God can’t fail to supply to you, if you can’t fail to supply to those in need. My dear, what God gives to you is not just for you alone, but for humanity. God said to Abraham, “And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2). God blessed Abraham so that through him others would be blessed. My dear, we are created to obey and worship God, and to love and serve one another. As a matter of fact, the true meaning of life can be discovered in what you can do for others and not what you can get from them. Amazingly, the irony of life is that, what you can sacrifice for the well-being of others is what life can sacrifice for your own well-being. What you give, you’ll receive. So, be generous because God will bless the generous. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?

TOPIC : MUST YOU AVENGE YOURSELF?

Bible Verse : Do not say, “I will pay back evil!” Wait for the LORD, so that he may vindicate you. Proverbs 20:22 NET

LISTEN: How far can we go when everyone wants to take revenge against his or her offenders? Are we not being consumed by evil when everyone wants to take his or her own “pound of flesh” from his or her offenders? Must we live like this in the world? No peace, no forgiveness, no love, but violence, killing, destruction and all manners of evil. We want to revenge every evil no matter what. Beloved, why seek private revenge instead of seeking God’s vindication? The bible says, “Do not say, “I will pay back evil!”’ That is , don’t do an injury to one that has done one to you. The Bible commands that private revenge is not to be taken, but should be left to God, to whom vengeance belongs. You should learn to wait on the Lord, and He shall save you; commit yourself and cause to God; leave it with Him to avenge your wrongs, and wait His own time to do you justice. He will at the proper season, and in His own way, save you from your enemies, and make a righteous retribution to them (your enemies). The word of God declares, ”Be sure of this: the wicked will not go unpunished, but the descendants of the righteous will go free” (Proverbs 11:21). My dear, do not waste your time seeking revenge, instead, seek the will and help of God. God will fight your battle if you leave it in His hands. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to let go of offense anytime I am hurt. May I not avenge myself, amen!
