Verse Of The Day : For who has despised the day of small things? Zechariah 4:10

LISTEN : Every great future begins with ‘a small today.’ Yes, everything big starts small. Life is made up of small things, and without small things there can never be great things. Those who value small things will make the most of life. Our Bible verse today refers to Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel was a governor of the Persian Province of Judah. He led the first group of Jews, who returned from the Babylonian captivity in the first year of Cyprus, King of Persian. Zerubbabel laid the foundation of the second temple in Jerusalem soon after, because he received a sanction to do that. Many of the Jews considered the project of rebuilding the temple as impossible, but God assures Zerubbabel that his (Zerubbabel’s) hands will both lay the foundations of the temple and finish it. (Zechariah 4:9). He started small but eventually accomplished the big project. Those who doubted him were ashamed because the hands of God made everything possible. My dear, like Zerubbabel, you can equally begin your God-given projects today. Don’t wait until everything is complete to begin. Start small and progress with it. That small thing, (perhaps your talents, career, business, etc.) you so despised, is the link to your greatness? My dear, little things create wonders. How? You may ask! The small rod of Moses delivered Israel from bondage (Exodus 4:1-9); just one stone of David brought down the giant, Goliath (1 Samuel 17) , and a handful of meal and a jar of oil sustained a widow through years of famine (2Kings 4:1-7). Beloved, learn to use what you have. Stretch your faith. Begin small like the mustard seed and you will expand and conquer territories. Remember, a great future begins with a small today. Be wise!

EVENING

TOPIC : GOD NEVER ABANDONS HIS OWN

Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Bible Verse : I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Psalms 37:25

LISTEN : God never abandons his own. You belong to God, right? Then be sure that, God will not forsake you. When you trust in Him and look away from your troubles, He will take care of your burdens and battles. (Romans 8:31). God knows those who belong to Him. Therefore, He will not forsake them. Sometimes we tend to think or react as though God has forsaken us; but the truth remains that, God can’t forsake His own. A mere thought of being forsaken doesn’t mean you’re actually forsaken. Surely, God will intervene in due time. My dear, don’t despair, instead, exercise your faith in God. Both in his youth and adulthood, David wonderfully experienced the faithfulness of God and therefore, has no doubt God will sustain the righteous and his offsprings; for they will not fail to follow God’s principles to be blessed. Beloved, why are you depressed? Why do you choose to worry instead of trusting God? My dear, cheer up! Remember, God will not abandon His obedient children. Be wise!

Prayer : Precious Father, you are good and worthy to be praised. Therefore, help me to trust in you always, in Jesus’ name, amen.
