Author : Bishop Julius Okarike
Verse Of The Day : Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hastes with his feet sins. Proverbs 19:2
LISTEN : It’s dangerous to live without knowledge and understanding. And it’s suicidal and absurd to celebrate ignorance. Knowledge is the cure for ignorance. In fact, life is without meaning without knowledge, wisdom and understanding. The Bible says, “Wisdom is of utmost importance, therefore get wisdom, and with all your effort work to acquire understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7 ISV). My dear, get understanding. Understanding is the ability to know how something works or happens. It is to be sympathetically aware of other people’s feelings; to be tolerant and forgiving. It means to have insight or good judgement. Understanding makes life easy. Lack of understanding is a major problem facing humanity. People with lack of understanding don’t see things from the right perspective. They easily have issues with relationship and marriage. Understanding is key to a stable marriage and relationship. The Bible says, “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established.” (Proverbs 24:3). Beloved, understanding is as important as life itself. Many things will fail around you for lack of understanding. But with understanding, you can stick with what you know to be true even when people misunderstood you. Truly, understanding grows when you stop seeking to be understood. In life, a lot of people will misunderstand you because they don’t know what you know, or travelling the same road with you. My dear, make effort to get understanding. With understanding you can conquer challenges, sustain relationships, walk in faith and the fear of God, understand the purpose of life and faithfully serve God and humanity despite hardship and challenges. So, determine never to live without understanding. Be wise!

TOPIC : DEVELOP INTEGRITY
Bible Verse : The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the unfaithful destroys them. Proverbs 11:3
LISTEN : Integrity is priceless. It brings honour in the long run. Sadly, many people don’t esteem integrity today. As a result, a lot of things have gone wrong because, integrity is missing in the society. Lots of people believe that the world systems don’t support integrity; but as Christians we should live with integrity. What then is integrity? In the Old Testament, integrity means “the condition of being without blemish, completeness, sincerity, uprightness and wholeness.” In the New Testament, it means “honesty and keeping with a pattern of good works.” This is what children of God stand for. We should live like our Master Jesus Christ. Jesus is the perfect example of a man of integrity. Satan tempted Him repeatedly to break His integrity and corrupt Him, yet, He never sinned (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus is the only one who lived a true perfect life and showed a pattern of good works. We are called to be like Jesus. We should bear fruits of repentance and stop living like people of the world. (Luke 3:7-14). In Jesus, you are a new creation and can be considered perfect before God because of what He has done for us. (2 Corinthians 5:17,21). No doubt, living with integrity in a corrupt world is challenging, yet, we should be those who can’t be compromised because we serve a holy God. My dear, live with integrity because it brings honour and promotion in the long run. Henceforth, determine to develop and sustain a life of integrity. Be wise!
Prayer : Heavenly Father, help me to develop a life of integrity henceforth, in Jesus’ name, amen.
