Verse Of The Day : Take your share of suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 2:3
LISTEN : It’s ideal to suffer with and for Christ. Yes, you can’t be anything different from the one you follow. If you’re a follower of Jesus Christ, then, you should be willing to live for what He lived for, and die for what He died for. The Bible says, “For to this you were called, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving an example for you to follow in his steps.” (1 Peter 2:21). Believers in Christ Jesus are called to suffer for His sake. We are elected to follow in His steps to fulfill the will of God for humanity. Therefore, no matter what it will cost us to spread the message of His kingdom to others, we should do and ignore the pressure, shame and the suffering. We should be prepared to make sacrifices in our service to Him. We may face hardship, persecution, molestation, denial, rejection, betrayal, attacks, etc, in course of our service to God, yet, we should be strong and courageous as good soldiers of Jesus Christ. Friend, God is faithful, He will reward us for all the pains, troubles and headaches we have suffered to do His will. But if we deny Him for any reason, He will deny us too. The Bible says, “This saying is trustworthy: If we died with him, we will also live with him. If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us.” (2 Timothy 2:11-12). Beloved, be strong and courageous for Jesus Christ, for no one can reign with Him who does not suffer with Him; and no one will suffer with Him and not reign with Him eventually. Be wise!

TOPIC : TREASURE GOD’S WORD IN YOUR HEART

Bible Verse : Your word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalms 119:11
LISTEN : No one hides what is not vital to him or her. We hide things because we’re mindful of our own happiness and general well-being. In the same way, those who understand what God’s word means will treasure it in their hearts, for it’s their life. Beloved, do you have the word of God in your heart? Do you value His words? God’s word is good enough to keep you from sin. People enjoy living in sin because they are bankrupt of the word of God. Friend, how much do you love the word of God? God’s words in your heart will influence your life positively. Your actions are based on the state of your heart. Therefore, if your heart is empty of God’s words, your actions will be dominated by evil. That’s why we are urged to protect our hearts. The Bible says, “Guard your heart with all vigilance, for from it are the sources of life.” (Proverbs 4:23). Beloved, if you lose control of your heart, you have lost control of your life. So, guard your heart jealously with the words of God, because your life is a function of it. Don’t play with God’s words, instead, take it seriously. Our Bible verse this evening tells us how to stay out of sin. The Psalmist says, “Your word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against you.” (Psalms 119:11). Beloved, do you have God’s words in your heart? Do you read and meditate in the words of God? If not, do it today and you will be blessed. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to hide your word in my heart as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen.
