Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake. Isaiah 54:15

LISTEN : My dear, learn to see God not your threats or enemies. Enemies and threats are there, but they’re powerless where God reigns. We’re not ignorant of wickedness of men. We know that, the devil roams about and roars like a lion; but Jesus Christ the Lion of the tribe of Judah protects us against his attacks. Christ defeated him for us on the cross and stripped him of his powers. That means that, in all our battles victory is guaranteed. So, don’t be afraid of them. God promises to defeat those who are against us if we obey His words (Exodus 23:22; Isaiah 45:2). No matter the power of Satan and wicked people, the power of God is supreme. When you honour God and lives in obedience to Him, you will activate your authority as a believer. When you put your faith in God your enemies will surrender to you because God will be your defense. No matter the forces that are against you, if the living God is on your side, you’ll defeat them as one man. Yes! The Bible says, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). My dear, we have a God who cares about His people. He’ll not allow you to play into the hands of your enemies. He’ll keep you because He promises to keep those who love and fear Him. However, we must not take our relationship with Him lightly or give the devil a chance to overcome us. When we obey God and put our trust in Him, He’ll fight our battles and make us more than conquerors. Be wise!

TOPIC : I WILL LOVE YOU LORD

Tuesday, November 5, 2019

Bible Verse : I will love you, O LORD, my strength. Psalms 18:1

LISTEN : The psalmist says, “I will love you, O LORD, my strength.” To him, love for God is non-negotiable. My dear, what consumes your heart? Is it the desire to love God or to love the world? David’s ultimate desire was to love God. Like David, can you declare your love for God today? Can your family declare their love and loyalty to God? Can you boldly and genuinely say, “I will love you O LORD?” God is pleased when His creation acknowledged Him as their strength. He is happy when we love Him above all else. Beloved, your love for God is measured by what you are willing to sacrifice to gain Him: it is measured by how much you can obey and serve Him. Our love for God is complete when we no longer resist Him, but joyfully serve, obey, trust and follow His will without excuses. Like David, let us love the LORD and trust Him as our strength; because when the LORD is our strength, victory is guaranteed. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to love you always as long as I live, amen…
