Verse Of The Day : When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31

LISTEN : A man in serious trouble cried to his Pastor tearfully and said, “Pastor, I’m finished; I’m dying. I don’t know what else to do.” His Pastor asked him, “My dear, have you prayed about it?” “Sir, does prayer work?” Asked the man. His Pastor replied, “Beloved, it works. Prayer is as powerful as your faith in God. Faith gives strength and answer to your prayers; for you can’t experience the power of prayer until you enjoy to pray in faith. So, go home and pray in faith.” My dear, this goes for all of us. Prayer is powerful. It prepares the heart to encounter God. Prayer opens the window of heaven to those who invest in it. It gives answers to questions of life. When men pray God answers. When men pray fervently demonic foundations are shaken and removed. (Acts 12:5-7). Prayer gives confidence and courage to a troubled heart. My dear, comfort isn’t far from anyone who delights to pray. Because of the force of prayer Jesus said, “… men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1). He who prays in spite of discouragement and delays will unfailingly receive divine intervention. Amazingly, the full power of prayer is released when prayer is combined with praise. A heartfelt prayer and praise God can’t resist. Beloved, how much do you love to pray and praise God? When you pray, certainly you’ll receive power from heaven. And when the power of God comes, all powers will bow. No power stands when the power of God is provoke by prayer and praise. When trouble hits you, engage the power of prayer. So, pray and praise God and you’ll discover how powerful prayer is. Be wise!

TOPIC: THE WORD OF GREAT JOY

Bible Verse : I rejoice at your word, as one that finds great spoil. Psalms 119:162

LISTEN : God’s word is the word of great joy. The word of God is precious and life-giving. It’s the way to life, peace, happiness and eternal bliss. Those who know the value of the word of God would rejoice in it always. Friend, does the word of God excites you? Do you know God’s word is key to life? God’s word is life. Therefore, His word should trigger joy in us because it comes with countless benefits. However, we can’t enjoy these benefits until we have developed hunger for the word. When we hunger for His word we will draw strength from it. What does it mean to hunger for God’s word? It means to be excited by God’s word and to long for righteousness. The Psalmist said, “I rejoice at your word, as one that finds great spoil.” (Psalms 119:162) So, if you can’t find joy in God’s word you don’t have hunger for it. You should value God’s word more than self- satisfaction and above all else. Job said, “I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food” (Job 23:12). Beloved, when God’s Word is as important to you as your physical food, then you’re going to start to grow in your Christian life and knowledge of God. Henceforth, may your heart not be spiritually dry and empty of God’s Word. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, you’re word gives life. Therefore, help me to love your words always, amen.
