Verse Of The Day : And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:7

LISTEN : No matter the circumstance, don’t ignore God, rather talk to Him about your problems. Talking to God about your problems is key to experiencing peace of mind. People feel restless and troubled when faced with trials or difficult situations because, they choose to worry about them, instead of talking to God in prayer (Matthew 7:7-8). My dear, learning to pray is learning to trust God. If you can pray in faith you can’t continue to live with a troubled heart. Truly, it’s not possible to pray in faith in times of troubles and not feel the peace of God in your heart. I have lost count of times I prayed to God in critical situations and His peace came into my heart as soon as I ended my prayers. Peace came into my heart after praying, because I chose to trust God with my problems and knowing that, He is able to help me. My dear, when you pray in faith, you have stopped thinking about what might happen as a result of your troubles, and starts believing what God says He’ll do in His words (Mark 9:23). Beloved, don’t be anxious about anything, rather pray about everything (Philippians 4:6). When you do that with thanksgiving, the peace of God will fill your heart and mind. As a matter of fact, your thoughts and feelings will be influenced by God and your anxiety and worries will vanish. So, no matter the circumstance, pray always! Remember, peace will come when you talk to God about your problems. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Stop worrying about your problems and tell God about them instead.
2. Pray and pray again because prayer comes with peace of mind.
3. When your heart is troubled, rise and pray with thanksgiving and wait for God.
4. No matter the circumstance, don’t allow fear to destroy your faith.

Prayer : Blessed Father, help me to pray in faith in all situations and to praise you always, in Jesus’ name, amen!

Reflection : He who prays in faith in times of troubles will feel the peace of God in his heart.

Quote : “He who prays in faith can’t live in fear of the unknown. For faith will surely calm a troubled heart.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that prayer of faith brings peace. Therefore, I will pray in faith and thank God always, amen!

EVENING

TOPIC : GOD WILL HELP YOU IF YOU BELIEVE

Tuesday, December 3, 2019

Bible Verse : I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

LISTEN : Beloved, God will help you if you believe He cares about you. God enables His people to accomplish His purpose for their lives. He releases to us unusual strength to do what we cannot do by our own strength. Beloved, when God is involved everything is possible. The Bible says, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.” (Mark 9:23). You can’t be limited by any circumstance if your faith is alive and active. But where there is no faith, the power to encounter God is hindered. My dear, where faith reigns, doubt and fear will fade away like flowers. You can do all things because you have been empowered by the Most High God. So, no matter the circumstance, like Apostle Paul in our verse of the day, you can learn to say, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” My dear, have faith in God and He’ll increase His strength in you. Be wise!

Prayer : Blessed Father, increase your power in me and help me to do everything with your grace, amen.
