Verse Of The Day : Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set while you are still angry. Ephesians 4:26

LISTEN : Deal wisely in anger lest you complicate issues for yourself. Don’t be too blinded by anger to see the right thing to do in any given situation. “Can we talk it over?” A woman begs the husband a day after a sharp disagreement between them. “Talk about what?” The husband replies angrily! “I am not ready to talk about anything. If you like, go to hell, I don’t care.” The woman knelt down, crying and pleading with her husband, saying repeatedly, “My husband, we can talk it over! Yes, we can talk it over.” The husband replies, “Only after I have vented my anger. But how long it will take, I don’t know.” Most people in their relationships are like this man. They explode and worsen matters when they are angry, and often withdraw from their partners for a prolonged period of time after a disagreement. This is not good for a relationship. You have the right to be angry when you are offended though, but you don’t have the right to sin in your anger. God’s word is clear on what to do when anger attempts to take the best of us. The Bible says,Do not let the sun set while you are still angry.” (Ephesians 4:26). This means that, offences must come, but we should choose to manage it properly and promptly. To be able to deal with anger in your relationships, determine to handle it God’s way. Never sleep and wake up in anger (Psalms 4:4). Talk over your disagreements with your partner and let it go. Be quick to forgive or apologise when you are wrong. Don’t withdraw after a disagreement, for it throws the door open to Satan and evil thoughts. Instead, open wide the door of communication. Tell the other person how you feel, and allow love and understanding to consume your thoughts. My dear, no matter what, don’t allow anger to get the best of you. Be wise!

TOPIC : GOD GIVES US STRENGTH FOR BATTLE

Friday, December 20, 2019

Bible Verse : For you have armed me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. 2 Samuel 22:40

LISTEN: My dear, there is nothing to worry about because God has armed us for the battles of life. You can never lose any battle when you are clothed in God’s armour. Beloved, are you faced with trials and very difficult situations? Are you afraid that you may lose your peace of mind, and possibly your life in the process? Are you confused about what else to do? Are you asking in frustration when all that will be over? Beloved, do you know you can overcome your fears by placing your hope in God? This is possible to achieve when you grow your faith. When you trust God, He will arm you with supernatural strength to make it through the storm. Beloved, I may not really know what you are going through right now, but I have a God who knows and wants to help you. But you must acknowledge Him as your Saviour and source of strength. In our verse of the day, David acknowledged and revered God as his deliverer, stronghold and source of strength. He acknowledged and praised God as the hand behind his victory over all his enemies, including King Saul. (2 Samuel 22:3). David made it through the storm because his hope was in the living God. In spite of his trials and afflictions he could boldly say, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.”(Psalms 23:4). Friend, do not be afraid, put your hope in God and you will make it through the storm of your life. Remember, God has armed you for the battles of life. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, I know that life is full of trials and afflictions. Therefore, protect me from evil and all the plans of the wicked, in Jesus’ name, amen.
