Verse Of The Day : He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.Proverbs 16:32

LISTEN : You can still deal wisely when angry if you want to. My dear, expression of uncontrolled anger is a demonstration of folly. I told a story about an athlete who was competing in a 100 meter race. And immediately the race started, he was ahead of all other athletes because he was a fast runner. But rather than cheered him up, the crowd booed him. Worst of all, he heard someone from the crowd shouting repeatedly, “fool, fool, fool!” Out of anger he stopped and went towards that direction and asked, “who called me a fool?” A boy replied, “I did.” Forthwith, he engaged him in a fight. But before he could finish fighting, the race was over. He was so ashamed of himself. He lost the prize because he first lost control of himself. My dear, you can’t truly conquer anything if you can’t conquer yourself. To be in control of anything, you must be in control of yourself. You’ll lose control of everything if you’ve lost control of yourself. One way to conquer yourself is to be in charge of your emotions. You must guard against uncontrolled anger. Don’t be driven by what people say or do, but by what is right and the goal you’re pursuing. Learning to be yourself in every situation puts you in the path of victory. My dear, determine to conquer yourself. Be slow to anger and be self-controlled. The Bible says, “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.” (Proverbs 16:32). Some people are too impatient that they mess up their own lives. Beloved, there is strength in being patient. Patience is a virtue that can take you where might can’t take you to. Remember, you’ve conquered nothing if you haven’t conquered yourself. So, learn to deal with anger wisely. Be wise!

TOPIC : A SACRIFICE THAT GOD DESIRES

Saturday, December 21, 2019

Bible Verse : The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalms 51:17

LISTEN : There are no better sacrifices than the desire to please God. God doesn’t eat the blood of bulls or other animals. He doesn’t eat your food. What He wants is your heart. He demands a certain level of sacrifice from you. The sacrifice you can make to God is to turn from evil ways and embrace righteousness. When a sinner cries to God in sincere repentance and turns away from his evil ways, God will cease to hold his sin against him. My dear, when you’re broken in spirit and sincerely feels or shows remorse for your sin, God will forgive you. That’s the sacrifice that God can’t despise. Our Bible verse says, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” (Psalms 51:17). My dear, do you have a good relationship with God? Do you feel disturbed in your conscience and realised that you’ve sinned against God? Repent and confess your sin to Him today and He will forgive you. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear LORD, I thank you for your words today. I confess and repent of my sin. Therefore, forgive my sin and restore my fellowship with you, in Jesus’ name, amen.
