Verse Of The Day : Then Job answered the LORD: “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted…” Job 42:1-2
LISTEN : “Please stop! Don’t take your life.” Says a man to a ‘suicide – attempted’ young man. No doubt, Life could be very unfair sometimes. But you should learn to be strong, courageous and resilient. Couple of months ago, I told a story about a young girl who was sighted crying and sobbing profusely. The man who saw her asked her, “Young girl, why are you crying?” She replied, “I want to die. I am tired of life. There is nothing to live for.” The man asked again; “Why did you say there is nothing to live for?” She replied tearfully, “I have lost everything. My parents and siblings have been killed by war.” The man broke down in tears and hugged her and wrapped his arms around her neck for a long while and looked at her and said, “You will not die. You are the only one left in your family to make a difference. I have been in same situation some years ago. I lost everything and attempted suicide, but God sent someone who came at the right time and saved me just the same way He has sent me to save you. Look at me today, I have gained more than I ever lost. So be strong and have faith in God. You will be fine” Immediately she wiped her tears and declares, “I will not die. I will be strong, and I will put my trust in God.” My dear, perhaps your own case is similar to this young girl’s; but just be strong and hopeful. Job lost everything to disaster, yet, he anchored his hope in God. He made this declaration about God, “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” (Job 42:1-2). Job believes that, no matter the situation, God’s purpose for his life will prevail. And God answered him eventually. Beloved, it is not yet over with you. No matter your tragedies or misfortunes God can turn it around. However, to experience a turnaround in your situations, you must believe that, God can do all things (Mark 9:23). For he who believes that, God can do all things will surely receive intervention from Him. So, stop it! Don’t take your life. Help is coming your way. Be wise!

TOPIC : YOU CAN OVERCOME FEAR
Wednesday, January 8, 2020
Bible Verse : Even, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:4
LISTEN : You can overcome fear. Yes, fear is overcome when faith is anchored on God. Besides, when we live in line with God’s will, God will impact us with uncommon bravery and strength. Living in line with the will of God triggers boldness, but sin deflates confidence. (Proverbs 28:1b). The righteous are not afraid of any evil because they know that fear is Satan’s instrument of destruction. Satan uses fear to empty people of their strength and opportunity to excel. Beloved, fear not. Learn to fight your fears through faith in God. Be strong and courageous for God is greater than what appears to be greater than you. (1 John 4:4). Have faith in God. David said, “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4). In his troubles he trusted God for intervention, and therefore said, “In the time of my fear, I will have faith in you.”(Psalms 56:3). Beloved, determine to walk in faith, and remember that protection is guaranteed when you walk with God. Be wise!
Prayer : Heavenly Father, I thank you because you are with me. Therefore, help me to overcome my fears, amen!
