Verse Of The Day : Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

LISTEN : To worry is to feel or cause to feel anxious or troubled about actual or potential problems; while to pray is to address a prayer (solemn request) to God. Worrying about your problems is a choice, praying about it is equally a choice. The difference between the two is that, one will stress you out to the point of taking your life ; and the other will give you hope, courage and confidence to live again. Prayer is the energy with which the believer runs without fainting. Prayer boosts energy, but worrying drains It. You can’t survive with worry and anxiety for too long. But prayer and faith in God would make you outlast your problems. I’ve lost count of times I prayed in time of trouble and suddenly received strength and courage to move on. My dear, grow love for prayer and develop contempt for worry. Yes, you can’t fix your problems by worrying about them. No matter how much you worry about your problems, you can’t be any better but the more frustrated. Then, why worry when you can pray and trust God? Do you think God doesn’t care about you? Besides, what do you think you can fix by worrying yourself? My dear, God cares about you. Yes, He cares about everyone of us. Therefore, no matter what you are facing right now, God is still faithful and does care about you. (Psalms 94:14; 55:22). God is your maker. He created you for His good purpose. He loves you and cares about what you’re going through. So, have faith in Him; stop worrying yourself, trust His promises, determine never to give up on Him, refuse to fear or faint in the face of troubles, and wait patiently for Him. Those who wait for God will not wait in vain. Henceforth, don’t enjoy to worry, rather, enjoy to pray. Be wise!

TOPIC : FOLLOW GOD’S WILL

Thursday, March 5, 2020

Bible Verse : My eyes stay open through the night watches, that I might meditate on your word. Psalms 119:148

LISTEN : Following God’s will is the guarantee for fulfilling your God-given purpose in life. A certain man told his friend thus: “Friend, I eagerly desire to do the will of God.” His friend replied, “It is a good desire; but If you desire to please God, then, you must first spend time in His words. It is His word that will reveal His will to you. Therefore, until you understand His word you cannot follow His will.” David understands this fact and therefore, denied himself some sleep just to meditate on the word of God as recorded in today’s Bible text. He did that because, he loves to do the will of God. David’s purpose of staying awake all night was not to attend to his domestic needs, worry over life’s circumstances, plot the downfall of his enemies, worry over wealth and prosperity of others, etc., but to meditate in the word of God. No wonder God called him “a man after my own heart” (Acts 13:22). He spent quality time in God’s word trying to find the will of God. In the same way, we should meditate in the word of God and train ourselves to do the will of God. My dear, if you are not prepared to follow the will of God, you are not ready to fulfill His purpose for your life. Be wise!

Prayer : Blessed Father, I love to do your will. Therefore, help me to achieve this noble desire, in Jesus ‘ name, amen!
