Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son. Revelations 21:7

LISTEN : The cross precedes the crown, just as pain precedes gain. The head will not wear the crown of life if the body refuses to first carry the cross. The Christian faith is a battle. But it is a fight of faith. It is either you fight and overcome, or you fear, slumber and be subdued by the enemy. My dear, do you want to experience God in your life? Then, you must fight the fight of faith. You must be ready to overcome the world of sin and trials. God reserves His blessings for those who overcome trials, sin and everything the world throws at them. My dear, God wants to give you eternal life. He wants you to experience a life of endless bliss after your struggle in this life. However, He will not give eternal life to you by way of sympathy, but by winning the fight of faith. You must overcome to be able to receive it. You must be prepared to defend what Jesus died for. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Therefore, for us to reach the end of our life and Christian journey successfully, our eyes must be fixed on Him (Hebrews 12:2). No matter the trials or circumstances of your life, you should hold onto your faith from start to finish. Surely, if you suffer with Christ you will reign with Him in eternity. Beloved, there are better days ahead of us. The Bible says, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”(Revelations 21:4). Isn’t that interesting? Won’t you love to enjoy eternal life? Jesus died to free you from endless woes. So, never give up on the fight of faith until you see the crown of life on your head. Remember, the cross precedes the crown. Be wise!

TOPIC : NOT EVERYTHING PLEASES GOD

Sunday, March 8, 2020

Bible Verse : Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. Ephesians 5:10

LISTEN : Not everything pleases God. You must find out what pleases Him. Beloved, you have a duty to perform if you desire a relationship with God. And your duty is to find out or discover what pleases God. God is not man. His ways are not our ways. (Isaiah 55:8-9). As a matter of fact, not everything pleases Him. But the good news is that, God has made known His will to us through His words. The Bible says, “He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the LORD really wants from you: He wants you to promote justice, to be faithful, and to live obediently before your God.” (Micah 6:8). My dear, we’re not in any form of difficulty to find out the will of God. His will is for us to promote justice, be faithful to Him and to live obediently to Him. This means that, we should discourage injustice, unfaithfulness and disobedience to His word. As lovers of God, let’s strive to find out what pleases Him and live in line with His will always. Be wise!

Prayer : Heavenly Father, help me to find out your will for me always, and to live in line with your will. Amen.
