Verse Of The Day : Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4
LISTEN : You can choose joy over sadness. You can fight sadness if you are controlled by the Spirit of God. When you make the decision to walk in the Spirit (to live as God will want you live no matter what) you will not continue to struggle with depression. You will not give place to the devil. No doubt, the world is full of situations that can easily break our hearts, but the joy of the LORD keeps us strong, positive and hopeful no matter what. The joy of the LORD is the strength of the believer in times of troubles, pain, disappointment, heartbreak, hardship, sorrow, tribulations, crisis, etc. When we’re wounded by circumstances of life, we can still find solace in the Lord when we choose to stay positive and joyful instead of being sad and hopeless. My dear, when sorrow strives to take the place of joy in your heart, resist it. No matter the reason for your sorrow, just resist it with the joy of the Lord (Nehemiah 8:10). Beloved, you can be joyful if you want to. So, to be ever joyful, just remind yourself that: 1). Joy will keep you healthy and strong ( see Proverbs 17:22) ; 2). Depression will alter your good sense of reasoning – yes, it is difficult to think clearly when you are depressed. Depression fills your head with negative thoughts and lifestyles. When you refuse to be happy, you are opening yourself up to the devil. And finally, joy will keep you positive. No situations can possibly twist your life or alter your mood unnecessarily when your spirit is saturated with the joy of the Lord. My dear, when you make the joy of the Lord your strength, no situation can be strong enough to break you or steal away your joy. Henceforth, determine to choose joy over sadness. Be wise!

TOPIC : YOU CAN HEAR GOD WHEN YOU PAY ATTENTION TO HIM

Bible Verse : The LORD called out to Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. 1 Samuel 3:4
LISTEN : You can hear the voice of God when you pay attention to Him. Samuel was but a child when God spoke to Him. He received the message from God and declared same to Eli his master. His ears were opened to the voice of God, and he was submissive to Him. My dear, how many times have you heard from God and pretend not to hear Him? Do you heed His warnings or preceeds with your own plans against His will? Do you know that God watches your response to His instructions? Therefore, don’t contend with Him like Cain did, rather submit to Him. When God called out to Cain the same way He did to Samuel and said, “Where is Abel your brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?” (Genesis 4:9). Cain pleaded not guilty of the crime he knows he committed. He pretended not to know what happened to his brother, Abel. This is how most people still respond to God’s call today. They plead not guilty when they are guilty as charged. However, we all can still make peace with God today. Let us therefore, repent of our sins and surrender to God today. Let’s stop all manner of distractions and pay attention to God. Be wise..
Prayer : Everlasting Father, help me to hear your voice anytime you call me. Amen!
