Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : From the end of the earth will I cry unto you, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalms 61:2

LISTEN : God will arrest your storm when you cry out to Him in faith (Mark 4:37-39). When the pressure of your life increases, faith in God will cause Him to calm your storm and subsequently calm your heart. My dear, no matter the pressures, always hold on to God. When you’re overwhelmed by troubles of life just take all to God. No doubt, people are often overwhelmed with different things in life. Some are overwhelmed with guilt, familial and marital problems; academic failure, ministerial setbacks, health condition, etc. To be overwhelmed is to be crushed and overpowered emotionally. Many people are crushed and overpowered emotionally today by circumstances of life – like it is currently today by COVID-19 menace. To some, their lives are completely messed up, and there seems to be no hope for them. But the good news is that, God is willing to help if you are willing to come to Him. My dear, just cooperate with God. Cooperating with God will cause Him to crush your crises. Yes, you can’t walk with God by faith and be established in failure. Beloved, are you overwhelmed with problems of life. Cry no more and have faith in God! (Psalms 42:5). The storm can only push you here and there, but can’t end your life. God will provide emotional stability for you in distress. Most times it is difficult to know the worth of God until we found ourselves in serious troubles. Until we are threatened by the storm of life, God will not manifest His power in us. My dear, no matter the storm that is up against you, connect yourself to God. With Him on your side, you can’t be moved no matter the circumstance. So, have faith and God will arrest your storm. Be wise!

TOPIC : BE CAREFUL HOW YOU SOW

Tuesday, April 7, 2020

Bible Verse : Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. 2 Corinthians 9:6

LISTEN : What you sow determines what you reap. You may not reap where you sow, but you will certainly reap what you sow. Therefore, sow a good seed. It is a waste of time and effort to sow what you know will neither benefit God nor man. People sow what they want to reap, and not what they want to waste. As a matter of fact, we sow in expectation of a bountiful harvest. Beloved, what you sow is what you will reap (Galatians 6:7). What you give to bless a person in need, or propagate the gospel of Christ Jesus around the world is what you will receive from God in due time. In his message to the Corinthians Church, Apostle Paul made a powerful statement and revelation to what happens with what we give to God. He declares that, what we give affects what we receive. If we intentionally give little when we should give more, we have given selfishly. God wants us to give in accordance with His blessings in our lives. When we give to God or others, we should give as a person making deposits to his own bank account, knowing that, in due time he will withdraw same. Remember, what you sow will determine what you reap. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, you are a generous God. Therefore, give me a generous heart to serve you and humanity with what I have, amen.
