Verse Of The Day: Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16
LISTEN: There is no peace where God is absent. As a matter of fact, to be empty of God’s presence is to be full of confusion. The presence of God introduces peace and joy. At the birth of Jesus Christ, when the angel of God appeared to the shepherds he said, “Fear not, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people” ( Luke 2:10). Good news brings peace and joy. God sent His son Jesus Christ to the world to reconcile the world to Him. And through Him (Jesus Christ) we have peace with God and have obtained access to eternal life by faith. Glory to God! Beloved, Jesus Christ is the peace that comes from above. He is the transmitter of God’s peace, love and forgiveness. No one will know peace where God is absent. But with the presence of God in our midst, we can enjoy peace and love in a wicked world. (John 16:33). Truly, it is an act of foolishness and a waste of time and energy to look for peace outside of God. A life that is empty of God is empty of peace. The absence of God in our families, lives, communities, states, nations, etc., are the reasons for endless crisis and conflicts in the world today. If we must experience peace we must embrace God. Beloved, peace comes from God, not from your wealth, academic qualifications, fat bank account, prosperous business, or other achievements. The peace of God is beyond human understanding. True and lasting peace is God’s gift to those who acknowlege His sovereignty. Friend, are you in any form of crisis today? Put your trust in the God of peace. If His word abides in your heart, His peace will not be missing in your life. Remember, a life without God is a life without peace; and a life without peace is a miserable life. Be wise!

TOPIC : LIFE BEYOND THE EARTH
Verse Of The Day : Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth. Colossians 3:2
LISTEN : Your focus determines your pursuit and your pursuit determines your accomplishment. When you pursue the flesh you reap the flesh and when you pursue things of the spirit you would reap things of the spirit. Friend, do you think about God? Do you think about life after death? Eternity with God should be our goal. Our thoughts should be directed towards God. My dear, you are what you think, hence, you must guard your thoughts at all times. This is because, what you think about, to a great extent determines what you do or become. Thoughts trigger actions, and your actions will determine your success or failure in life. It will equally determine where you will spend eternity – heaven or hell. Good thoughts when sustained will produce good actions, and bad thoughts when sustained will produce negative actions. You cannot be different from what you think. (Proverbs 23:7a). That is why it is vital to direct your thoughts in line with the will of God. In our Bible verse , we are urged to think about things that are above and not about things that are on the earth. We should constantly desire the blessings that God has prepared for us in heaven. (1 Corinthians 2:9,10). We should bother ourselves with the things of heaven and abstain from the evil in the world. Besides, our minds should be consumed with thoughts of “a life with God after our earthly life.” We should always think about our eternal home that is free from crisis, heartbreak, sicknesses and diseases, death and sorrow, etc. Friend, let us focus our minds on life after death, for our journey on earth will soon be over. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear LORD. Thank you for your words today. As I live daily, help me to be conscious of eternity. Amen!
