Verse Of The Day : Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice. Psalms 55:17

LISTEN : Passion drives purpose. Passion is a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something. As a matter of fact, a good purpose will be defeated where passion is dead. In the same way, prayer will not be taken seriously where passion for it is dead. Prayer is key to a sustainable faith in God. Yes, he or she who loses interest in prayer cannot sustain his or her relationship with God. My dear, there is power in prayer. Genuine prayer will produce mind blowing results. He who is addicted to the act of prayer cannot be empty of results. (Matthew 7:7,8). Like faith, prayer gives us the opportunity to access what God has freely given to us through Christ Jesus. My dear, a person of prayer, is a person of power; for one who is connected to God is connected to divine authority. When prayer becomes a delight, divine attention becomes an undeniable experience. When we consistently “breath the air of prayer, we cannot suffocate for lack of spiritual oxygen” (the Spirit of God). Beloved, do you pray? Do you pour out your troubled heart to God in prayer? If your faith must survive, you must grow in the act of prayer. The truth is, your Christian life cannot be stronger than your prayer life. (Luke 22:46). Those who cannot pray can hardly overcome temptation. Prayer offers us spiritual support and refuge. It gives strength which our human abilities cannot give. It releases into our hearts and minds the peace of God in times of troubles, and keep our hope alive when it is hard to trust and obey God. David acknowledged this truth when he prayed and said, “Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice.” (Psalms 55:17). Beloved, do not faint or give up praying. God cannot be tired of hearing and attending to our prayers no matter how many times we come to Him. Therefore, pray and keep praying until you break through. Be wise!

TOPIC : DELIVERANCE IS OF GOD

Saturday, May 9, 2020

Bible Verse : Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge. Psalms 16:1

LISTEN : Deliverance and salvation comes from God. God saves and preserves. To preserve is to keep safe from injury, harm, or destruction. It means to protect and keep alive. Destruction will hit anyone who chooses to abandon God. Life will be a nightmare without God. Yes, people tend to live in fear when they do not feel safe; as a result, would do anything possible to protect themselves from harm. (Judges 6:2–6,11). But no matter how much people try to protect themselves in this wicked world, it is practically impossible to escape the many traps of wickedness without God. (Job 14:1). This was exactly what David saw when he prayed, “Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge.”(Psalms 16:1). He prayed God to protect him from evil and wicked people. He did that, by first acknowledging God as his refuge. He knows that God is his protection in time of danger or distress. He believes God will shield him from arrows of Satan and his allies. In a nutshell, David was saying, “I will hide myself in the living God. I will depend on God for protection and none other.” Beloved, who do you run to in times of trouble? Where do you hide yourself for protection? Do you know you have no protection without God? So, fix your eyes on God in times of troubles, and always remember that deliverance is of Him. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, you’re my refuge. I will serve and worship You for the rest of my life. Amen!
