Verse Of The Day : But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

LISTEN : We receive the Holy Spirit of God the moment we receive Jesus Christ the Son of the living God as Lord and Saviour. From that point, we have identified with a new family (the household of faith, the family of God). As a result, brothers and sisters in the church of God become our own family; and we have the privilege of fellowshipping with God and His Son Jesus Christ. (1John 1:3). As a believer in Christ Jesus, you should be comfortable and friendly with fellow believers. You should fellowship with others as a family irrespective of denominations. What is fellowship? It is the relationship of people who share interests or feelings: it is a group of people who have similar interests. As Christians, we have common interests. One Lord, one faith, one baptism (Ephesians 4:5). My dear, how well do you get along with others? How comfortable do you feel hanging together? Beloved, fellowship makes us one. In fellowship, what is lacking in you can be supplied by another. Fellowship causes us to share our burdens and celebrate our successes together (Galatians 6:2). As Christians, we should not find it hard to work with others, especially those who are of the household of faith. God is light and those who claim to serve Him must walk in the light. There is no darkness in God, rather darkness disappears in His presence. When we truly fellowship with one another, we will encourage one another to grow in faith; work for one another’s welfare, forgive one another, bear one another’s burden, encourage and edify one another, and serve one another. Beloved, are you walking in the light of God? Do you hunger to fellowship with others? Remember, you cannot claim to be one with God and not one with His people; for He who rejects the people of God has equally rejected God Himself. So, let us gladly fellowship with one another. Be wise!

EVENING

TOPIC : USE YOUR VOICE TO THE GLORY OF GOD

Monday, January 21, 2019

Bible Verse : I will sing to the LORD, because he has been good to me. Psalms 13:6

LISTEN : Beloved, your praise belongs to God. God wants you to use your voice to praise Him in songs. Yes, His goodness to humanity should trigger a heart of praise. Let us rejoice in the Lord for He is good, and His mercy endures forever. (Psalms 136:1-25). Let us sing to God for He is good to all, both young and old. No one can deny His goodness to humanity. He created the sun to give heat (warmth) and lighten the day; the moon to lighten the night. Rain to water our vegetations and to produce food enough to sustain us. He blesses us with many water sources (sea, rivers, streams, springs, swamps, lakes, lagoon, oceans, etc.); above all, He blesses us with life. Beloved, your life today is God’s goodness to you. Never take it for granted, or complain about what you think is not good enough in your life. Learn to acknowledge and appreciate the goodness of God no matter what. If you can praise God for what He has done for you no matter how little, He will do the unimaginable for you. David understands how reasonable it is to reciprocate God’s goodness, and he said, “I will sing to the LORD, because he has been good to me.” (Psalms 13:6). Beloved, is God not good to you? If really He is good to you, then, sing and honour Him for His goodness in your life today, and never stop to rejoice for what God has done for you. Sing a new song to the Lord and glorify Him for His favours. Be wise!
