Verse Of The Day: Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24.

LISTEN: The world today is full of hate speeches and all manner of evil words aimed at destroying other people’s lives and reputation. People destructively criticise others, mock, blackmail, gossip and verbally abuse others because there is no fear of God in their hearts. (Proverbs 12 : 18). Many had left the right use of their tongues to make the wrong use instead. Beloved, this is directly opposite of what God originally wants us to do with our tongues. He wants us to speak good things about, and to others. He wants us to speak pleasant words. (James 3 : 10 – 13). Pleasant words are healing words. They are life-giving and life-saving words. They are words that comes from the mouth of the wise and godly; that is, those who understand what it means to save human lives. The Bible says” Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones ” (Pro16:24). What does that mean? It means that the words of the wise yield both profit and delight; the wholesome counsels and refreshing comfort of the wise brings healing and life to battered and shattered lives.

Beloved, you should learn to heal, rather than kill others with your words. There are countless people out there who are hurting, frustrated and confused in life; they need someone who can stir up their courage and bring relief to their miserable souls. They are in need of someone who can bind up their broken hearts. Someone who can give them hope in their hopeless situations. Beloved, can we join hands together to help the hurting today by speaking encouraging words that can heal their wounded souls instead of causing more pain to their already wounded spirits? Beloved, when next you speak to others, determine to speak words of comfort, encouragement, edification, motivation, inspiration, love, etc. Never again speak evil and hurting words to others. Remember that when you heal with your words, and everyone does the same, the world will be a better place for all.
