Verse Of The Day: The blessings of the LORD makes rich, and adds no sorrow with it Proverbs 10:22.
LISTEN: There is no true blessing which the Lord does not give. He is the giver of all good gifts, including His Son Jesus Christ whom He gave for the salvation of mankind. The Bible says, ” Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow. (James 1 : 17). The gifts of God are good and perfect. This means that His gifts are without blemish. His blessing does not destroy or frustrate the receiver. When His blessing comes, the life of the beneficiary is made better and not bitter. Beloved, it is good to seek the blessing of God in Christ Jesus. The devil may promise blessing, but certainly he will deliver a curse because he has nothing good for mankind. Today, people pursue what they believed to be a blessing. Sadly, they end up being consumed by their desperation. If God cannot bless, certainly no ‘blessing’ can truly satisfy.
Beloved, any blessing that cannot be traced to God is a curse in disguise; therefore, avoid it. Pursue the blessing of God and you will not regret it in the long run. God’s blessing is what you need to excel in life. The beauty of His blessing is that it adds no sorrow with it. People experience restlessness and sorrow from their wealth because God’s will is neglected. Many today including Christians tend to be ‘smart and clever’ in an attempt to get rich quick, not minding whether the path they choose to take is approved of God or not. The consequence is that when we kill, cheat, slander, steal, murder and assassinate peoples’ integrity to get rich, we shall unfailingly pay dearly for it in this life and in the life to come (Proverbs 20:17; Rev. 20:8). Beloved, to obtain the blessing of God that does not come with sorrow, you must learn to obey His words, honour and respect His will; and humble yourself under His mighty hands. (Prov. 22:4; 8:18; 12:3).
