Verse Of The Day: Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: but he that does evil have not seen God. 3 John 1:11
LISTEN: The phrase, “look before you leap” means, you shouldn’t act without first considering the possible consequences or dangers. My dear, the world is like a field scattered with traps. And if one refuses to look before leaping, one is sure to be entrapped by Satan’s poisonous traps. Evil seems to be the trend in the world today, as a matter of fact, the fear of God seems like old fashion. And Satan has scattered his deadly traps to catch ignorant people. My dear, Satan has designed his traps to appear enticing; and these traps come in form of pleasure, favour, popularity, wealth, temptation, etc. Many who are ignorant of his schemes have ended up in his traps. That’s why a lot of people who started as obedient, committed and loyal children of God are now ending up as disobedient and uncommitted folks to Him. However, if we are wise enough, we can’t fall prey to the devil. Beloved, the devil can only enslave those who reject the leadership of God. Anyone who surrenders to the lordship of Jesus Christ can’t continue to remain a slave to Satan. (John 5:24). So, to escape Satan’s traps, you should hear and obey the word of God. This means that, you should watch, examine and prove every idea, principle, opinion, trend, belief, etc., before accepting to act on, or adopt them as your own standards. You must not do anything just because everyone else does it, rather you should do it because you have proven it to be the perfect and acceptable will of God (Ephesians 5:10). Henceforth, don’t follow every trend, instead, look before you leap. Be wise!

TOPIC : DEMONSTRATING UNCOMMON WISDOM
Bible Verse : I understand more than the aged, because I have kept your precepts. Psalms 119:100
LISTEN : God’s word gives wisdom, and wisdom is key to life. Wisdom is the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7). And we get nothing if we lack wisdom. Life as a whole is empty without wisdom and understanding. A lost of wisdom is a lost of direction. The Bible says, “Wisdom is profitable to direct.” (Ecclesiastics 10:10). However, earthly wisdom does not qualify for this kind of wisdom ; because earthly wisdom is characterised by jealousy, bitterness, selfish ambition, corruption, hate and the like. The wisdom that God approves is kingdom–based. The Bible says, “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, without hypocrisy.” (James 3:17). Beloved, that is God’s kind of wisdom. It comes from paying attention to the words of God. When you study, meditate and apply the information you gathered from God’s words, it will set you apart from others. You will think God’s way and not your own way. You will shun evil and follow the will of God. In this kind of wisdom, what matters to you is the will of God and nothing else. Beloved, study and meditate in the word of God and you will be enabled to live wisely. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, bless me with wisdom and understanding, in Jesus’ name, amen!
