Verse Of The Day : “I repeat, be strong and brave! Don’t be afraid and don’t panic, for I, the LORD your God, am with you in all you do.” Joshua 1:9 (NET).

LISTEN : Beloved, be strong and courageous for you can’t achieve anything worthwhile with the heart of a chicken. Big things are achieved with a big heart. People are often stopped from pursuing their goals for lack of courage. Absence of courage will amount to a forfeiture of glory. After the death of Moses, Joshua took over the mantle of leadership. He was to confront numerous enemies of Israel, and he could’nt do that without courage. God repeatedly urged him to be courageous in verses 6,7 and 9 of Joshua chapter 1. God made him understand that, he can’t overcome obstacles without courage. What is courage? It is the ability to do something that frightens one; strength in the face of pain and grief: and the ability to do something difficult even when there is risk. By implication, God commanded Joshua to be fearless and be determined to take risk if he must conquer the enemies of Israel. In the same, you should build courage to overcome obstacles. To develop courage, you should learn to take risks and accept failure; trying what you fear is one of the ways to build courage and confidence. If you are not willing to take risk you are not yet ready to excel. And stop being negative-minded: you can never build courage and confidence when your thoughts are in the negative. If you think you can’t win certainly you will always lose. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). So, learn to be positive minded. Besides, believe you can do it. No one can possibly spur you into action if you are not willing to do anything. Always pray for boldness to develop courage. Finally, believe that God is with you. Fix your eyes and heart on God. Having God with you doesn’t stop enemy’s threats, but it does overcome their threats. So, believe that God is with you and be brave enough to push your way through. Be wise!

TOPIC : GOD’S LOVE IS THE GREATEST OF ALL

Saturday, December 28, 2019

Bible Verse : Behold, how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God… 1John 3:1

LISTEN : God’s love is the greatest of all. His love is the reason for the forgiveness of our sin. He cleanses our sins with the precious blood of His sinless son Jesus Christ, and therefore declares us “not guilty.” Yes, only the love of God can justify sinners. And whom the Lord justifies no one can bring any charge against. My dear, if you accept Jesus Christ today you are a new person. Old things are passed away and all things are now new in your life. (2 Corinthians 5:17). God wants you to embrace and believe what Jesus Christ has done for you. He wants you to walk in faith and knowledge of your new identity. Never allow Satan or the guilt of your past to condemn you. Your faith in Christ has made you whole. You may have been known as the worst of sinners, but by your faith in Christ everything has changed now. You cannot be condemned anymore because Christ is standing as your lawyer against every accusation. The Bible says, “Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is the one who will condemn? Christ is the one who died and more than that, he was raised, who is at the right hand of God, and who also is interceding for us.” (Romans 8:33-34). So, embrace God’s everlasting love and you will not be eternally condemned. Remember, God’s love is the greatest of all. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you because you love us. Help me to appreciate and reciprocate your love, in Jesus’ name, amen
