Verese Of The Day: The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? Proverbs 18 : 14

LISTEN: Are you sick, weak, worried and afraid? Is your ailment life threatening, as a result, you have given up on life? Have you lost every hope of recovery and survival? Beloved, do you know that you can still live and thrive no matter your situation? Do you also know that you can still conquer your sickness and disease and still stay alive if you believe? If you determine to be courageous and strong no matter the threats to your life, you cannot be defeated. No matter the situation, you must learn to believe the report of the LORD and not of men. Your faith in God and courage in time of sickness is your healing and deliverance. That is what will sustain you in your sickness or affliction. The Bible says, ” The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?” (Proverbs 18 : 14). This means that, a man sustains the ills of his body, and the trials of life, by the strength and energy of his mind. Faith in God will give energy and strength to your mind. But if the mind be wounded, if grief have shot the dagger into the soul, what can then sustain the man? Nothing but the unseen God. Therefore, when afflicted, learn to pray to God and do not lose hope. (James 5 : 13a). God who forgave our sins is willing to heal our diseases. Beloved, surrender your conscience to God and receive healing both for your body and spirit. A man’s own spirit has, in general, sufficient fortitude to bear up under the unavoidable trials of life; but when the conscience is wounded by sin, and the soul is dying by iniquity, who can lift him up? God alone can; for salvation is of the Lord. So, surrender yourself to God, be strong and you shall live and not die.
