FACT, OR FAITH?

Verse Of The Day : Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. Proverbs 3 : 5

LISTEN : Fact is good when it does not reject, or deny the existence of faith. Faith itself does not deny fact, but has the power to change fact. What is fact? A fact is something that truly exists or happens : something that has actual existence: a true piece of information. On the other hand, Faith is being sure of what we hope for, and being convinced of what we do not see. Faith does not need to see before believing, but believes all the same. Faith and fact are parallel to each other. Faith acknowledges fact, but fact often tends to undermined faith. Truly, overdependent on fact provokes lack of faith. Fact is based on information and knowledge, but faith is based on revelations and spiritual understanding. Fact tends to analyse situations, but faith focuses on divine promises and the power of God. (Romans 4 : 18 – 21). Fact focuses on what is seen, but faith focus on the unseen. Terminal disease is a fact, and no one can deny it; but miraculous healing is faith.

The strength of fact is based on what is known, but faith draws its strength from the power of God. Beloved, you should learn to believe beyond your own understanding. Learn to trust in the LORD with all your heart, by not relying on your own understanding. The power of Science which is fact – based has made a lot of people neglect the power of faith, and ultimately the power of God. A lot of people have lost touch with God for lack of faith. (Hebrews 11 : 6). Their lives are based solely on facts, as a result, are limited and cutoff from accessing the power of God. Beloved, God is still doing something today. He still does miracles to prove that human wisdom is limited. People are miraculously healed of terminal diseases that Science already declared “incurable; ” and natural phenomena like genotypes, menopause and many others are altered to the glory of God. Beloved, whose report will you believe? Man’s (fact)? Or God’s (faith)? No matter your situation, just come to God; for with Him nothing is impossible, Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Do not allow facts to bury your faith.
2. Do not allow what you know stop you from going for what you need, but have not seen.
3. No matter what, do not lose touch with God, instead, draw closer to Him by faith.
4. Learn to trust God with all your heart, by not relying on your own understanding.
