Verse of the Day: But he must ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord.- James 1 : 6 – 7

LISTEN: The shortest way to receiving nothing from God is to ask without faith. He or she who chose to ask without faith has chosen to have his or her prayers rejected. (Hebrews 11 : 6). No one can please God without faith. Until matter of faith is settled in your relationship with God, nothing is settled.

When you have unsettled mind and heart, full of doubts, and refusing to believe in God who answers prayers, you make it difficult for yourself to receive from Him. God created you and desires that you depend on Him as a faithful Father that he is. Sadly, because of unbelief and doubt, we often failed to believe in Him; as a result we tend to be unstable in all our ways. That is, we are not strong in faith. We believe now and turn faithless the next minute.

The Bible says, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8). Double-minded people are not stable, firm, or fixed in their resolutions. Double-mindedness is simply a demonstration of divided attention; it makes people very uncertain of themselves and their plans. Double-minded people are already confused with their lives. The one who doubts and lives in unbelief cannot be sincere and upright in his request; he asks for one thing and mean another.

He or she is a person that honours God with his or her lips, but his or her heart is far from Him. Besides, he or she lacks confidence in God and is confused in his or her mind; restless in his or her thoughts, unsettled in his or her intentions and designs, he or she is uncertain in his or her opinion of things; he or she is always changing, he or she is always shifting and moving. Sadly, the consequence is that such a person cannot receive anything from God because he or she refuses to act in faith.

Beloved, is your life characterized by Double-mindedness? Are you unstable like the wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind? Remember, until you change and become stable in your faith in God, you are certainly not going to receive anything from Him. Whatever you ask of God, it must be by faith without wavering; only then can you receive the answers you seek. Beloved, determine to always act in Faith.
