Verse Of The Day : Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake. Isaiah 54:15

LISTEN : When the devil comes against us, God goes against him in defence of us. God paralysis his (Satan) weapons and shatter his arsenal even before he thinks of using them on us. My dear, in any battle we will ever engage in, our victory is guaranteed because of our faith in Christ Jesus. Our battle is won through Christ before it ever begins. God fights for His people. He promises to defeat those who are against us if we obey His words (Exodus 23:22). When we honour Him and live in obedience to Him, we will work in the authority that Christ has given us by His death. Beloved, don’t be afraid, rather, put your trust in God. When you have faith in God your enemies will surrender to you because God will be your defense. No matter the forces that are against you, if the living God is on your side, you will defeat them as one man. So, don’t be afraid of the threats of your enemies; rather, walk with God and He will walk with you. Walk in obedience to Him and He will rise against your enemies. Here are two reasons why our enemies are bound to fail:

* God Is With Us – we are safe because God is with us. No matter what is prepared against us, God can defend us against any form of evil and demonic attacks. If God is with us nothing can stand in our ways (Romans 8:31).

* God Won’t Support Their Plans – Satan and his agents may strike us, but they can’t subdue us. And because they don’t have God’s support, they can’t break us. Satan couldn’t succeed with Job because he was working within the limit God allowed him (Job 1:12). In the same way, he can do nothing to us because he doesn’t have the support of our God. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Don’t be afraid of the wicked, rather put your confidence in the living God.
2. Pray in every situation and never give up no matter what.
3. Be strong, courageous and dedicated to God and He will defend you always.
4 Don’t be ignorant of your authority in Christ Jesus, rather fight the devil with it.

Prayer : Everlasting God, you are my shield and defense. Help me to overcome the battles of my life, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : Satan and his agents may strike us, but they can’t subdue us.

Quote : “When the devil comes against us, God goes against him in defence of us; and paralysis his arsenal even before he thinks of using them on us.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that God will fight my battles. Therefore, I will walk in obedience to Him as long as I live, amen.

Biblical Fact: Did you know Noah was 600 years old when the flood came on the earth? (Genesis 7:6).

Today In History : July 22, 1934 American gangster John Dillinger is shot dead by FBI officers outside a Chicago cinema.

Stunning Fact : Did you know sun light can penetrate clean ocean water up to a depth of 73m (240 feet)?

A Word Of Blessing : You will make a difference. Today I speak to your life, may God destroy what the devil prepares against you. I command every arrow against your life to be consumed by fire, in Jesus’ name, amen.

EVENING

TOPIC : WORK WITH GOD

Monday, July 22, 2019

Bible Verse : Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3

LISTEN : You are sure to succeed when you work with God. God is the highest authority. And the highest authority should be honoured and revered. God is the final voice. And what He gives His approval to cannot fail. Therefore, in order to truly succeed in our plans, no matter how good our plans are, they should pass through God’s scrutiny and approval. When God tests our plans and approve of them, they are sure to succeed no matter the obstacles. My dear, never be too sure of your plans that you neglect to commit them to God. Besides, you should learn to rely on God as you proceed with your works. Trust Him with every step you take to accomplish your purpose. David said, “Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3). Sadly, because of the ignorance of people to acknowledge and honour God, they fail even with their good plans. My dear, determine to commit your works to God and your plans will be established. So, work with God and He will work things out for you. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to work with you and follow your instructions always, in Jesus’ name, amen!
